Wow! I honestly can't believe that I am about to start this Pre-trip report! There are many reasons why, but none of them matter now, because we're going!!

Lately, we have been Disneyworld folk. We went on our first trip together to Disneyworld in August of 2010. It was an 11 day extravaganza. I tried to cram as much as I possibly could into those 11 days, because I never thought I would be able to get my Dear Fiance (then DBF) to go on another trip to Disney ever again.

Well, that turned out not to be the case, because he actually loved every minute of it! He was converted so to speak.

We have our next trip planned to Disney World in March of this year. We are spending 7 nights/8 days at Coronado Springs on the Deluxe Dining Plan. I am beyond excited about this trip!

But, then an unexpected bonus from work came, and I started mulling over different ways to spend it. There was talk of Upgrading our resort at Disneyworld. There was talk of checking out Disney's new resort in Hawaii. But we are still considering that as a possible honeymoon destination. So, we finally landed on Disneyland.

I am going to bore you with a little backstory here.

I did not grow up loving Disney. I know, its horrifying to think there are children out in the world that don't grow up loving Disney.

After I graduated high school, I got to go on a school sponsored trip in June for a leadership convention. We got to spend two days at Disney, and I was hooked.

I went back six months later for a Christmas trip, and then another year after that on a girls only trip.

But, sadly I haven't been back to Disneyland since 2007. As Rafiki would say, "It is time."

I hope you will join us on this crazy adventure!

Allow me to introduce the folks that are going on the trip. We follow the “ladies first” rule around here, so that means we get to start with me!

My name is Jessica, and will celebrate my last "cool" birthday this year. Turning 25. Not that other birthdays won't be fun or cool, but after 25 from what I have heard, all of the round number birthdays are met with a sense of impending doom. My future sister in law turned 30 last year. Lets just say, it was pretty hilarious for all of us to watch. I hope I am not one of those blubbering turning 30 types. I am an insurance sales agent by day, and also own a very small business that sells hand knit items. I recently spent 4 months living in New York City for work. It was hard to live without my better half, but I was in New York City, and the company paid my rent, so overall it was pretty spectacular, and I am even a little sad to be home. There certainly is a lot less to see and do here in Wisconsin! This will be my fourth trip to Disneyland.

Next is Adam, my wonderful fiancé. We have been engaged almost a full year now (in 2 weeks we will be anyway!) Adam works as a contracter, and thankfully has managed to keep himself working during these difficult times. His very first trip to Disney was when we went last summer. He went because he loves me. He also made me promise that once we went, that would be the end of the Disney begging for awhile. He has never been to Disneyland, and I am very excited to show him how different it is!

Before we go, a few more pics from our last trip:

Wow, a LOT has changed since I last stayed in Anaheim! A lot in the parks, a lot in the hotels, and I was grief stricken to find out that Kojis at The Block is now closed. I still tear up thinking about it...

So, on my last trip to Anaheim, I was a 20 year old college student. Myself and my friend had to pinch every penny in order to make that trip happen. We found this little place called the Alpine Inn. LOVED it! It was a ridiculously cheap $45/night when we stayed! It was clean, it had two beds, a mini fridge and a microwave, and myself and friend did not have a single complaint about our stay! It also was right next to a little short cut entrance to the parking lot that you could cut through to get to the park, it was really awesome, and I wouldn't mind staying there again, but I am hoping for something with a bit more frills this time.

The time before I stayed at the Double Tree Guest Suites and LOVED it!! It was super super nice, although it was a bit of a hike to the parks. This is on our short list of places to stay. Anyone stayed recently with feedback?

The first place I stayed was at the Anaheim Hilton. It was during a convention, the place was packed, and they were oversold. We ended up receiving the living room of a suite with 4 rollaway beds. It left a lot to be desired for the price tag, but I see that they have recently renovated, and it is currently about $400 cheaper to stay here than at the Doubletree.

Any thoughts from anyone else? We are not currently considering staying onsite at this time, I just don't feel that you get enough benefit to do so.

Ack! I didn't see you got this started! I'm in. :goodvibes I can not offer ANY DL advice or tips or suggestions ... as I've never been there, so I'll have to live vicariously through you! popcorn::

I'm in! Jumped over from your WDW dining report! :goodvibes

I've never been to DL but we are going this summer...we decided to stay at Desert Palms. They seem to be reasonably priced for the suites and include a hot breakfast that I've heard is pretty good.

Can't wait to read more about your plans!
