Is it possible?

I know a lot of factors play in and things can go wrong, but if everything went right would it be possible to catch Fantasmic show which starts at 830 and make it to a reservation at BOG @ 9:55? Or is that not enough time to get there? That is the only time we could get res. for BOG but we already booked the fantasmic dining package. Should I go ahead and cancel one? Also we are traveling in early Sept(If that makes a difference) Thanks for any Info!

Best case scenario:
8:55 show ends
8:40 arrive at bus stop
9:55 arrive at MK.
10:10 arrive at BOG

Even this would require you to move very quickly and be very lucky.

Thank you

Thank you, I thought I may be crazy lol. We really wanted Bog res. Maybe I can try to fit fantasmic in somewhere else.

IF (and yes its a big if) you sneak out a few minutes early from Fantasmic! to get a little ahead of the crowd and I'm thinking before the last floats begin their run, then get to the bus stop for the Contemporary as fast as you can, you might get to BOG at least not so late that they turn you away. DBr & I were able to see an 8PM Fantasmic show and make it to MK in time for the 9PM MSEP doing this (yes, another 8-10 walk to BOG). Its not ideal and does require the aforementioned luck, but if you can't rearrange the schedule, it is possible. And I strongly recommend the CR bus not the MK. Its a short walk from the Contemporary and I think the resort buses are more plentiful.

I would just get on the bus that shows up first at DHS (MK or CR).

What about a cab between parks? Yes, that drops you at TTC, but you should be there by 9:15 or so.

Just a thought.

Wait a second... isn't the Fastasmic dining at like 6? Are you going to be hungry for another MEAL at 10?

Pretty sure the OP would have made that FDP ADR for lunch.

I think if OP really hustled out of F!, took a taxi to the CR and again hustled to BOG, the could just make it. Assuming Main Street and the hub weren't too clogged up with Parade/Wishes watchers. It would be tight.

One other thing to keep in mind is the time BOG closes. If it is a 10 PM close there's virtually no leeway for showing up late when you have a 9:55 reservation. Our experience has been that once a restaurant closes, it will not seat latecomers. If you do not show up you will be charged the $10 per person no show fee.

As far as your schedule - in order to make it, everything needs to go smoothly and it will still be extremely tight. Fantasmic will end about 8:55 so you should sit at the top of the amphitheater and head out immediately at the end of the show and you will need to walk quickly. Once in the parking lot, take a cab to the Contemporary. Do not tell the cab driver you want to go to the MK because then he'll take you to the TTC and you'll have to take either the ferry or monorail and that will take too much time. From the Contemporary walk to the MK (about 10 min if you walk quickly). If there is a parade or Wishes crowd on Main Street try walking through the shops.

Overall, I think it is too much stress and would re-schedule one of the events for a different time. If you have small children or someone in the group who does not walk quickly, it will not be possible.

Thank you guys so much, this is our first trip so we just want to make sure our plan aren't to crazy and going to stress us out, we are going to go ahead and cancel our Fantasmic and hope we can get reservation for it a different day. Hopefully since there are 3 restaurants to choose from that gives us a better chance to actually get in when we need. I really don't want to reschedule BOG since it seems so hard to get in lol. Thanks again you guys are really helping prepare us for are 1st trip so I don't feel as overwhelmed lol.

Thank you! from the sounds of it, it does sound like more stress than its worth I'm going to go ahead and cancel Fantasmic and keep BOG. Just to keep my sanity lol.

Keep in mind that you can also use a Fastpass for Fantasmic and pass some of the crowd (although when we were there it wasn't terribly crowded). We did that last trip because one of our crew wanted to see it and the dining stuff was all gone. We got fine seats and had a counter service meal at Rosie's before the show. I would certainly say BOG is harder to get than Fantasmic. Hope this is helpful.

In early Sept, I wouldn't worry about getting the Fantasmic dinner package. Either fast pass it or just get in line with the masses. The theater is huge and sight lines are good from pretty much everywhere. So not getting the package doesn't mean you can't see the show.
