We plan on going to AK on 2/6 for EMH. Is it possible to see and do everything in one day. If not what would be the 1-2 things you would not do???

Some people would disagree, but I say yes. We do AK in 1/2 day now. The only things we regularly do are Donald's Breakfastosaurus, Dinosaur, the Safari ride, and Tarzan (which is gone now, to be replaced by EE in our list I imagine). It takes a good half of a day to do these few things, but a whole day should fit in some of the other rides and shows for you.

I don't think it's possible to see and do "everything" in any of the Disney theme Parks in just one day. It's very doable to hit the 4 or 5 "major" attractions at AK ( Dinosaur, Kilamanjaro Safari, Kali River Rapids, Friends of the Lion King, It's Tough To Be A Bug, and coming soon Expedition Everest etc... ) and then a few of the smaller ones, but you won't see everything in a single day.

Much of the charm of AK is browsing the trails and paths where you can view various wildlife species, but most visitors rush past this on their way to the next ride. So I guess it depends on what is of interest to someone when determining how much time to spend at AK. To hit a few of the rides doesn't take more than half a day, but to truly experience what AK is all about takes more than a day, IMO.

I definitely think you can do AK in 1 day. Like a pp said, many times now we will only spend a 1/2 day and get to see everything that we want. Have a great time!

We usually do AK in one day also. If I were to skip attractions, it would be most of Dinoland (hate the wait and que area of Primeval Whirl...it the wait time is 20 min, it has ALWAYS taken us at least 45 min to get through), we are not big Dinosaur! fans, and Triceratop Spin is just Dumbo with Dinosaurs instead of Elephants. We neveer do the character trails there either (although people say it is one of the best ways to see some characters).

The only things I would say (IMHO) Not to miss are: Safari, Kali, ITTBAB, Lion King, EE (if open) and the parade. All this would be dependent on the ages and fear factor of your traveling party too.

We normally avoid EMH at AK. Last summer, we went did AK in two half days...on arrival day, we got there late afternoon, saw tha parade, did Lion King, rode the Safari and did the trails. THe next half day we went in the morning and we did all of Dinoland (including playing midway games) went to breakfast at Donald's Breakfastosaurous (We LOVE this character meal), did ITTBAB and rode Kali (we got a FP for this before our breakfast at Donald's)...it made AK a lot more bearable...especially in the summer heat.

Like others said before me .....we do AK in a day. There is always things we miss but we always hit all of th major attractions.

I don't believe that it is possible to do "everything" in a single day, even with EMH. But it is possible to spend a full day at the AK and feel like you've done and seen a lot. Your best approach would be to decide on the "must see' attractions, the "like to see" attractions and the "take it or leave it" attractions.

For my family, Dinosaur is a "must see" while we walk right by Triceratops Spin. Touring the AK will depend on your family's ages and interests.

Have to throw in at least attempting to see Flights of Wonder. Wonderful show if you are nearby when it's going to start. Twenty minutes and a very nice production. Bird show that features the natural tendencies of the birds. No bike riding birds here. For us, it's not to be missed.

We don't usually plan to hit everything. We picked one fav for each of us (4 of us go).

If we are making good time we will fill in with other points of interest along the way. When we went (Sept.) we hit everything we wanted and still had hours to spare. And did more than any other previous trip.

We started out at the Safari due to we know this line can get long and quickly. Flights of Wonder, Kali, PrimEvil Whirl and Dinosuar.

But that's how we plan our trips....pick the "must do's",then if going smooth- we hit highlights in between. Since we like taking our time in the parks, this works well for us.
