Is it possible to upgrade to conceirge now that FTP is over?

Now he tells me!! My husband wants to upgrade to conceirge at YC and he tells me tonight. I was so happy!! But then I remembered that FTP expired on June 29. What do you think the odds are of being able to upgrade now and still get FTP? Thanks in advance for your replies.

I was told that I could make changes (upgrade to Deluxe from Moderate) at any time with the FTP. The CM told me that June 29 was only the cutoff date for booking a room, if there are rooms available we can make changes after that date.

If you are not going during a busy season and will be happy enough in a regular room,you may want to try waiting until you get there and asking if there is any space available in concierge. This could backfire though, so if you have your heart set on it I would try to book it now. If you will be happy enough just being at the YC, you may get lucky and be able to upgrade for a very reasonable amount once you get there. Good luck!

Thanks everyone for your replies! I feel as though I may just want to wait and see about it until I get there. What if they somehow mess up my reservation and I end up with no FTP at all? I don't know if I can stand not knowing... I may just have to call today and take my chances. I'll let you know either way as you can see I'm undecided.

I did it!!!!!!!!!!! I got YC Conceirge!! I was able to upgrade without any problems with a wonderful cm. I kept the same booking number which is helpful. And I still have the FTP!! I am very excited as you can see!!

Can't wait until August 23!!!

Congradulations! Do you mind saying how much extra it was to upgrade? I was thinking about trying to do something similar w/FTP, and wondered how much more it would cost.

jdaa1,the upgrade was $356 more. I thought it was fine. I'm glad that we're going conceirge this time.

Congratulations. I was inspired by your change and was looking to do something similar myself (but change resorts). I sent a note to my travel agent who told me that I couldn't do it :-( I am wondering if it was because I was changing resorts or if I should just call Disney myself.

I was always booked at Yacht Club. I just asked to be upgraded to the conceirge. It didn't seem to be a problem. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you.
