Is it possible to stay at two Disney properties simultaneously?

Consider this (somewhat) hypothetical example: Tom and Katie are DVC members staying at their home resort with a few family members. All have access to the DVC and deluxe resort amenities. Two other family members, Mitch and Mary, are staying at the Swan and Dolphin. Thinking that Mitch and Mary might not have the same access to Disney amenities as the rest of the family, Tom adds Mitch and Mary to their DVC room reservation (they have capacity). Are these overlapping room reservations likely to cause problems? Will Mitch and Mary have the same privileges as the rest of the family?

Yes, this should work as long as you have capacity.

The only time it can cause an issue is if people are booked at WDW resorts at the same time.

In those cases, you have to name them differently so the system sees them differently.

Thanks--and the Swan and Dolphin is not considered a "WDW resort", right? If they had to be named differently, I assume they would need different magic bands, one registered in each name.

Correct, the Swan/Dolphin reservation won't conflict with the DVC one. If, hypothetically they were both WDW resorts, they could try different registered MBs but it might be easier just to get them a card at the front desk on the second reservation.

Did this exact thing my last trip, we had one bedroom at BCV and my brother and his wife decided they didn’t want the couch when they saw a deal at Dolphin. They had no issues enjoying our hotel perks (and the pool lol).
