Is it possible to split the points across 2 DVC accounts?

We are going in May next year and have already booked 2 weeks at SSR. However my grandparents are now coming with us and would like to stay at the beach club for 6 nights (if its available)
Ive worked out that they need 94 points for the nights that they will be staying and between my DVC account and my parents DVC account we will have enough points to cover their stay.

So my question is can i use points from both accounts to make that booking? Both me and my parents will be together to speak to member services if we can do it?

You won't be able to split a night with points from both, but you can book individual nights with either points. Then have MS link the ressies together (if you booked same type/category room with both).

If you don't want to have two reservations (meaning your grandparents have to check-out and back in midway through their stay) you can transfer points from your account to your parents or vice versa. Then, the member who receives the transferred points can combine them with their own and make one reservation for the entire stay.

Actually you can have two reservations and link them and they are treated as one reservation from a stay standpoint with no risk of having to change rooms or even check in a second time.

I was just thinking that transferring might be easier in this case. That way each member wouldn't have to have the exact right number for a portion of the nights.

Given that there are limitations of doing transfers, IMO, it's best to avoid them when possible. But certainly if you need to combine points for a single night, transfers are appropriate. I believe reserving separately and linking is far easier and safer overall but each has it's advantages depending on specifics. And either can result in a single stay without having to change rooms or check in again.
