is it possible to change your rate??

hi everyone,just wondering if you book your trip way in advance and then better rates come out can you change to get the better rate. I just love these boards everyone is just so helpful. thanks

Yes - it is no problem to switch to a lower rate once they come out.

In fact, the reservationist will tell you to keep checking back to see if there are any better rates!

I did that today over the phone (switched from AAA to annual pass rate) and they kept the same confirmation number and just changed the rate. I was told the excess on my RPH reservation would be applied to the next day's reservation. I owe extra on my HRH reservation (switched to club level) and was told I did not have to send an additional deposit, just pay the difference at check-in.
