Is it possible to carry on our own wine on board of a Disney Ship?

We are doing the Disney surf and turf package in April of next year, and I was wonder if it possible to carry on our favorite wine onto a Disney Cruise ship. Thanks for any help in advance.

yes.

In fact I was quite surprised when I was allowed to bring rum from the Keys onto the ship. That saved us a lot of money in alcohol!

Wow! We cruised Norwegian to Alaska and they wouldn't let us bring ANY alcohol on board. Rule of thumb - stay away from Norwegian.

Yes, you can carry it on board, you may not check it in your luggage. Get a rolling cooler or case to make it easier to lug around with you until you can check into you stateroom.

We sailed Norwegian, Boston to Bermuda, and I brought a lot of bottled water with me (I drink tons). When getting on board they pulled me and my carry on aside. I asked if there was a reason. I got a real smug "Do you have alcohol in your bag???". I said no. Then again I got the attitude and "Ohhhh, OK". I gave them a nice smug thank you when they finally went through my bag and only found water. :rotfl:

But yes, we recently cruised on DCL and were able to bring on a 12 pack of beer and 2 bottles of alcohol with no problem. (I really only wanted one but they were in a 2 for 1 pack ;)).

Princess doesn't allow you to bring on booze either...

But that didn't stop us! :rotfl: We were just, uh, inventive, in how we got it on board.

Yes...i'm bad...I know it ;)

But Disney seems to allow it, from what i've read anyway. From what everyone says, you can carry it on, just don't put it into a checked bag. And they all suggest a small rolling cooler as you'll have to haul it around with you until your cabin is ready!

isn't it funny that the cruise line pegged as "only for kids" is the one to allow you to carry on your own alcohol. Maybe they know some people need to drink to put up with the kids :rotfl: :rotfl:

I was near panic mode when I heard someone say you couldn't bring it onboard...thank goodness that's not the case!

Open waters & I do NOT mix...I fear it's going to take a LOT of alcohol to get me through this...lol

Along with a friend or two ;)

I have seen posts like this here and on the Cruise forums for a long time, and each time I ask myself, "Why would people want to lug all of their luggage AND cases of water/beer/wine on a cruise ship?" :confused3

You have paid a good amount of money for the cruise, you know you like to drink, why not save up before the cruise and put the money towards the liquor bill? Especially now with the extra baggage fees on the airlines.

I just don't get it.:confused3

Many of us are traveling my car to the port, so it's easy to stop at a liquor store and pick up some beverages before boarding the ship. There is no additional luggage fees for the ship so that cost doesn't apply and we can drink what we like and save a few bucks.

Well for me, personally, I'm not planning on taking anything that would add any 'labor' to our travels...maybe a bottle or two. I'm also not planning on taking it on the plane with me - we'll probably hit up a liquor store after we arrive in Orlando. I'm VERY nervous about cruising, so having a bottle or two in my cabin will just be good in the event of a slight (or not so slight) panic attack! lol

We still plan to purchase alcoholic beverages from the bars on board the ship, but I like to keep something in my cabin for when we're in there getting ready for dinner!

I have no plans to bring on an entire distillery for a 4 day cruise, just a little something for in our cabin...

That's "Still" to us re'glar folk!! Does coiled copper tubing raise suspicion from security?!? ;)
