We had a wonderful stay at KV Oct 18-22. We got the room request we asked for. Very close to the bus depot! Boma was great as expected. Enjoyed Sanna and the Mara too. We go back Jan 2 this time with a SV!

Thanks everyone! I had some craziness with the transfers and thought I ruined the first couple of bags, but thanks to the Creative DISign board I was able to salvage them!

First - Jambo -

Congrats on your upcomming stay - you will love it!!! Now, for why "I" love it......... I love the warm, inviting, relaxing, homey feeling as soon as you enter the lobby, I love the colors, textures, lighting, smells that all engulf you like a great big hug - it's for me, like being "home" (and it is - we are owners) . I love the animals and all the viewing areas, I love the decor from the lobby to the room, I love the pool, I love the bonfire and the storytellers, I love the walking areas, I love CM's who are so warm and friendly, I love the ambiance throughout the entire resort. I love the food, especially the african stew and zebra domes and the free wine tasting at Jiko. I love all of the activities for the kids and how the CM's embrace the children with such kindness. There is really something special about this resort - and even with all I've described, it's hard to describe, until you get there and experience it for yourself. But, you will love it! One thing all of you might enjoy is the culinary tour at Boma - it's free and it's great!! There is an activities board in the lobby with everything going on that day - make sure to check that out, I'm sure your DS will have tons of things to do!!! I think one thing people don't do that they should is to ENJOY the resort and all the offerings it has......... we've learned to enjoy it and relax on vacation now - instead of rush rush rush, we just enjoy becomming immersed in all the lodge has to offer. Here is a link with a lot of good information - but I'm sure my fellow AKL lovers will chime in on what they love!!!!

I know you'll have a great time!!! Stick around here and you'll learn a lot about the lodge - ask all the questions you can think of...... we'd be glad to answer - and just hang out with the Jambo Wildbunch - the more the merrier!!!

Thanks WendyPooh!!! I have completely rearranged our schedule so that we can spend a lot more time at our fabulous resort!! We are also on the DDP (yummo!) so we are definitely taking advantage of the awesome restaurants there as well. As a matter of fact, as soon as we check in, we're heading over to Sanaa to lunch with the animals! We are eating at Jiko our first evening, too. I figure I will let my DS go to Animal Kingdom in the afternoon (if he even wants to leave the resort) and we will just spend the rest of the day relaxing at AKL. My DS knows we are going to Disney, but he thinks we are staying at our usual resort CSR. He he!!!

You are Welcome!!!! I know you'll love the lodge - be careful though, once you get a taste of it.......... there'll be no going back to CSR!!!!! So I called the guy back today from the agency and he did say this was too early for him to have found out anything. I figured that's what he'd say, if 1 boss is on vacation until 11/8, I knew today would be too soon to have an answer, but whatever. Now he said to call him back Thursday morn and see if anything has changed.
