Got back yesterday...moved from YC CL after the WIne/Dine 1/2..to AKV!!!
had a wonderful 3 nights there!!
My cousin (from Berwyn TyRY) had never been and she never stopped talking about how fabulous the resort was!!!
We had a SV and I have never had so much animal action!! Wow..we were on Kudu Trail #5221..I will post pics when I get back to normal here....yes...insert LOL here!

We had a lovely dinner at Sanaa...great waiter named Rico....had my Jardin South African Chardonnay, after abstaining from alcohol pre race it was great! Enjoyed the pool, looks strange to me being blue...oh well....our room was ready when we got there around 1:30 which was great..esp since I hadn't slept yet from the night before...(race)

I knew this was the place to go to and relax , and I didnt even have to recover like I thought I would...I had visions of me at Zawahati getting a massage eating zebra domes...cancelled my massage and felt too guilty to eat any zebra domes!
I know...what happened to me?! lol
Will post pics soon of the animal action!

Congrats on the race! I just watched the video blog - it looks like so much fun (well, if running 13.1 miles can be called "fun"...)

..I got a message from Angel16 and she asked that I let everyone know that they made it safe and sound and checked into GF this morning, and they were upgraded to Concierge Level and she was really excited about that.

She will be at AKL on Wednesday....

Not that I need to know. I had surgery on my right foot right after my July trip and plan on having the left foot done 11/22. Work is crazy busy until 11/12 so I couldn't do surgery before then. I plan to go to WDW for my bday next May but don't know how I can go 9 months without a trip. It has been 5 years since I've gone that long between trips.

I'm sure you'll have a really great trip in December!

I was in Epcot the day you were engaged. I took my DD for her 7th birthday. We stayed CL at AKL. It was a magical trip!

Well,it was/is JetBlue...We have enough air miles to fly one way for free and we each have $59 in credits for the other direction...So when it checked, it would've worked out to $20 each way...Oh well.

Geez, I hope your feet heal fast! Pixie dust that you won't have to wait the 9 months to go.

Wow, you were there that day That's so cool! We got to Epcot by noon, we ate at Bistro de Paris (that's how I knew something must be up, well that and he paid OOP for Poly) around 7. Got out in time to find a spot for Illuminations, and he proposed right as the show was starting

Neither, we're staying @ SSR this trip...We're eating @ Sanaa the first night Thurs 12/2...,.Our dates are 12/2-12/9..I don't know if we'll get back to AKL/Kidani other than that first night...I'm pretty sure we'll be in AK park Wed 12/8.

Ahhhh OK - well, I hope it's not too crowded for us!!!!

OK so it wasn't $20 fares that I missed out on. So you still have your credits and points to book a trip after December. I've got 15,000+ points on Jet Blue so should be enough for my May ticket plus all 5 of us have a $50 credits from a flight delay in July.

I really don't see how I'll get to Disney before May but at least I should have new, improved feet on my next trip. My feet were really killing me in May-not too bad in July because we didn't do so much-my DH isn't a Disney lover so we didn't spend too much time in the parks.

What a beautiful engagement story! We sure lucked out with weather on that trip. The weeks before & after ours were so cold. We were there 1/20 to 1/27. Her birthday was the 21st. We were able to do the Sunrise Safari on her birthday! On the 24th we "almost" did 4 parks in 1 day. We started at AK with breakfast at Tusker House-did safari and both walks-saw a few characters and Gitar Dan even sang a song for her, went to Epcot-grabbed Test Track fast passes-saw a few characters, went to MGM to find characters-saw the Snow Queen-she was great- then back to Epcot for Test Track in the dark. We left before Illuminations. I was exhausted. I honestly wasn't sure I was up for the trip at all-I had gone to Disney in December and came home sick then tragically lost my brother a few days later (he was hit by a car ). I was still sick in early January so finally went to the doctor. I had whooping cough. I had been on antibiotics for 2 weeks before the trip so I felt better but wasn't 100%. I just had to take her though. I had taken her older sister & brother for their 7th bdays. I have to say it really was a magical trip and was just what I needed! And I felt better in Orlando. Leaving Boston for a week was a good thing!

I'm really torn about where to stay in May. I'll be going with 2 of my friends for an adult only trip. At one point there was going to be 4 of us and I was all set to book 2 rooms AKL CL. Now that we're down to 3 we would only do 1 room so I'm thinking BWI CL would be better for us. I really enjoyed BWI CL but there is something about AKL CL that I really like. I'm leaning toward BWI at this point. I think for our family trip in the summer I will book AKV Kidani 1BR.

Jambo, everyone!

Just got back from our F&W Festival trip at the BC. It was terrific and I am now counting down the days till our AK CL stay for Christmas. Sounds like lots of good trips are in the planning or have been taken or are in the process of being enjoyed right now. I have missed you all!!
