TruBlu, congrats on your pool view room and your B&BW story made me laugh because a few weeks back, I had a Disney moment at B&BW myself! I was checking out and I noticed a girl behind the counter wearing the rainbow mickey mouse head bracelet that my DD got from the BBB. THen she noticed my Dooney & Bourke bag that I got from WDW and boy did we talk! We could have talked Disney all day...except after about ten minutes of evil eyes from her manager, she was asked to get back to work! Some people just don't understand the magic of Disney! That's why I come here to you guys!

I think it only affects those paying for rooms. I did see another thread though that CMs are not taking room requests. Someone mentioned it may be those who are booking value rooms and wanting SVs only.

LOL - I had to laugh........... we hemmmed and hawwwed for over a year about DVC - after about 6 trips to the lodge, I told DH how much money we could've been saving ----- once he ran the numbers, he was convined - as we won't stay in anything less than a deluxe - NOT that we are resort snobs, but we like our space!!! Howdy neighbor!! We did look into DVC 2 years ago while staying at Saratoga Springs. Since that visit, we have been back 2 WDW 3 times and financially are in a much better place(re-fi on house, paid off 2 vehicles) . We couldve saved a TON if we joined years ago! I am a snob now.... Il admit. When me and a friend took our kids to WDW on a last minute suprise trip last year, we stayed at All Star Movies. Omg. It was hell on earth. Deluxe villas for me, forever! Yeah for me.
I cant wait to go...... 42 days

Did you find what you were looking for? I hate WDW AP site, too. My fiance has the AP, so the last time I used the site, I checked off for it to remember the pass info, but of course it doesn't I don't know where he keeps his pass, hidden from me, I guess

Darn I will always remember how out of the blue, at MK that night, I KNEW it was your DH when I spotted him I kinda procrastinated all summer with training....but after today I will have a 20 mile week...most miles at once has been 7....thank goodness I still have 6 weeks left! Hello you!!! Henry is wearing the shirt from Ava AGAIN this trip. It has appeared on every single trip to date. I think after this year he may outgrow it though...we'll see.

This will be Henry's 5th trip - and he's turning 3 the day before we leave! We are planning another trip in March - and I'm hoping for one in July, but we'll see. Our kids are lucky little ones! I always wanted to go to Disney as a child, but never did - so I'm just making up for lost time.

About 4 hours ago we bought into DVC and our first stay at "home" will be in Kidani(sp?) at AKL in 45 days. We just this morning paid off our original trip this morning and that was at POR. A few hours later we were on the phone with DVC with our cc buying in ! AKL looks amazing.........Theres a gizillion pages of info...Whew

Welcome Neighbor. It took us about 2 years too to decide. But after renting some points for our April trip, DH fell in love with AKL.

PS... tomorrow I can book at my 11th mth window

Hi Everyone!! I leave in 7 days for AKL!! I haven't been to Disney since the one and only time I went 10 years ago - can't wait! My bf last went about 14 years ago and we just need to RELAX! We love rides and love exploring. I am a huge animal lover and can't wait - we got a savannah view room
So I had requested a King Bed when we first made the reservation. However, the other day I called up and requested (after lots of research here) Arusha savannah on 2 or 3 floor. Then I asked to drop the King request because
1. I didn't really want an accessible room
2. I don't want to push my luck
She ended up leaving the King request anyway and said maybe we'll get lucky but I'm thinking I should just call and remove it. I noticed that most King rooms were indeed accessible so I don't want to push my luck!

We have no kids and have a crazy schedule at home starting in September til about January so we want to make this relaxing and fun. No adrs (we don't want to adhere to any time schedule) and very few plans. Unlike lots of people, we are always in our room. When we go on cruises we get balcony cabins because we will get room service, rent a movie and spend all night in our cabin and on the balcony! So I think that although this was a splurge, this will be perfect for us!
Can anyone tell me anything I should look for at AKL or any relaxing spots or activities they've done? Thanks for this thread!!

I have friends who are staying offsite in Orlando the same time as us next year and after hearing about CL and the Sunrise Safari, they were thinking about adding one day at the AKL so they could join us...if they were to check in for one night on THursday, and the sunrise safari is that morning, would they be eligible to go on the safari?

So I'm trying to watch some AKL videos on you tube right now and it keeps kindof freezing and searching (buffering??). Does this happen to anyone else and if not, what can I do so this doesn't keep happening? I have DSL on my laptop, and I use windows internet explorer...any ideas?

...just back - dr said that he COULD operate (because of the break) but it wouldn't heal any better or faster than if he left it alone....so, keep the arm immobile for at least a week or two....no phys ed till Nov 1 and he goes back in 3 weeks for another x-ray to make sure the bone is healing properly...

Good news - no surgery - hopefully he heals up quickly!

I was not able to get my girlfriends to switch to AKL - nobody wanted to spend the money. But we are upgrading to Coronado Springs! I am excited - it looks really nice there. Not AKL, but I can live with it!

Coronado Springs is very nice. I'm doing a split stay there (and AKV of course! ) in February. I've stayed in all 3 areas: Casitas, Ranchos & Cabanas. I like them all!!
