I was just looking at discounts for next year, but nothing for April Hopefully they add more dates eventually! Congrats to those of you that were able to snag some good deals

I'm looking at the discounts now too - just sent an email off to my gf's to see if they are willing to switch to AKL. Unfortunately, our rate at POP is so cheap that I may not be able to sway them. We won't be spending much time at the resort, so I don't think they will see the value of switching. It's OK - I will still get over to AKL at some point to visit - I need my Zebra Domes!!

Good morning all. Well 13 days to go. And they are already asking, have you packed yet?

I'm usually sorting stuff out by now but its a piece of cake now. Now my mom, sister and GF are looking for the space bags. Why?

First of all its summer. You are only packing shorts, tshirts and swimsuits. Second of all, we have a washer and dryer in the room.

They are all over packers. I am dying to see what they pull out of the suitcase. Thank goodness my brother and his wife aren't going. They usually have a bag for the each of them and a third for their sneakers and shoes to match their outfits.

...* sigh *...hoo-boy, strange weekend....my DS broke his collarbone on Saturday, so I have to wait to 9AM this morning to call the pediatric ortho dr. to make an appointment for him, to see if it has to be 'set'....

OH NO - what happened???? Hope he's OK and the appt. goes well today!!

...sure wish that the hospital would get their sh*t together - they gave me the number of the ortho dr who is supposed to look at his clavicle, but when I called:
1) he doesn't treat clavicle fractures
2) he isn't a pediatric orthopedic dr

...soooo, I called the hospital again, to get the name and phone of one.....appt is at 12:15 today...

I was wondering how long you're able to hang around the resort on your check-out day...can you access the CL lounge/pool until a certain time?

I was wondering how long you're able to hang around the resort on your check-out day...can you access the CL lounge/pool until a certain time?

...you have access for that day, but personally I'd head over to the Dolphin to check in as soon as possbile to get a good room....actually, I'm assuming that this day is not gonna be a 'park day', correct?? If so, the Dolphin pool area is really awesome too (Grotto pool) , and it's a really large resort, so you'll probably wanna go exploring all little - plus, you can simply walk over to the BC/YC area as well as the Boardwalk....it's a great location...

I stayed at the Dolphin, many many years ago and at that time I was amazed by the murals on the walls that continued into the carpet. The shower in my room was like being under the sea.

Are these still there? I have no idea but it was beautiful.

Thanks, Kim! That makes me feel a whole lot better! If there's no discounts, the Dolphin looks like a nice resort/area to wrap up our vacation...I thought it would be tough to leave the AKL for the Dolphin, but glad you've been and enjoyed it!

The tiles were all painted like you were under the water, so standing in the shower everything around you was like looking at underwater sea life, corals, fish, turtles, plant life.

It was beautiful and just from an art standpoint very tastefully done, not cartoonish, but life like.
