Back in 2002 (when I realized I had a WDW addiction! ), I started recording all the room #'s on a list (Word document), which is now absurdly long!! I list the dates, resort, room #, category (also points if DVC) and it gets a * if it was one of those WOW rooms!! I also keep the final bill envelope they put on your door the last morning sad1 in a "Vacation" file box -- which is now bursting at the seams!! I need a bigger box!!!
I've stayed at AKL so many times, I've actually had 2 of the rooms TWICE and AKV I've had the same studio twice!!!

FWIW, my WDW addiction officially began in 1997. I wish I'd begun keeping track of resorts and room #'s back then!

You can also call them. If you get voicemail, leave a message; they're really good about calling back. (407) 938-4755. If they'll need a CC # for anything you need booked, you'll do that over the phone with them anyway. (They don't have access to the CC # you used to book the reservation, even if you told the CM's to "keep it on file" for your trip.)



Just a disclaimer for anyone reading this: please do not call or email AKL IPO until you have a confirmed Club Level reservation.

Just back from a week at AKL...and I'm ready to go back. What a fabulous resort! We were in Jambo, pool view on the Zebra trail. Great view of the pool, which is beautiful. I have nothing but great and wonderful things to say about our stay!

I feel in love with AKL, Jambo House, CL last year on my first trip there. It was amazing.

Also, North Alabama is my old home town, lived in Decatur and worked at Redstone for years, even went to UAH....

Saying hello and hanging around to get any new info I can. Stayed AKL in 2004 Savannah with bunk beds and loved it. Booked pool view this time around-would love an upgrade to Savannah but would be fine with a nice view of the pool. First trip at the Christmas season-usually go in October. So I am excited to check out the Christmas decor in all the resorts. Can anyone who has gone during the first week of December clue me in as to what to expect with the weather?

My Aunt used to have a restaurant right next door to FAME recording studios. She lived in Tuscambia (SP?)

I am getting ready to book a studio for next summer before our Dream cruise and was wondering about standard view studios at Kidani. With a summer visit using so many more points I thought I would try standard view. Is it worth not upgrading to savanna? We have only stayed savanna before and are staying CL in Oct. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Is pool view available at Kidani?

That is a really neat idea! I usually just take a picture of the door/room number, and a ZILLION inside the room - but December was a very busy trip and I forgot. I do like the idea of the Word document though, that would be fun to look through!

Jambo everyone! Just popping in to say hello after being on vacation ,then catching up from being on vacation! I am very excited to report that my airfare for my girls' trip in November is all booked, and I WON 2 park passes from All Star Vacation Homes , so I was able to persuade one of my girlfriends to do another park day with me. One day we will do Epcot for Food and Wine, then the second day we will go to Hollywood Studios. Very excited!!

I'm still trying to convince them all to stay at AKL - no dice yet - hoping and waiting for some fall room-only discounts to be announced that might change their minds.

I hope to find some nice pictures from all of you that were leaving for your trips a few weeks ago!

Hi everyone.

Not sure if you remember me, but I was on here about a year ago asking loads of questions about AKL!

We went last October and had 14 amazing nights at what is now our favourite Disney resort so far!

This was our amazing view:

And we're all booked and paid for our return!

5 nights next March to start off our wedding/honeymoon!

My parents are also booked in, and my DF's best man and his wife! We have all got savannah view, and I'm so excited to share the resort with them!

...OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! I almost forgot to tell you: my DS's GF's sister and her BF decided to go to WDW too, so they called yesterday to find out availability for PopC ( I think)...they are arriving next Tuesday and staying till Sunday - anyhoo, THEY GOT PICKED TO STAY IN THE CASTLE!!!! They will be sleeping there next Wednesday!!!

OMG! OMG! OMG! I can't wait to hear (read) all about this!!!

I am going to go on an extra Disney trip this year. Yay!

Long story, but to make it much shorter, we think our Dec trip is back on We're not positive though. But we have until 11/1 to cancel. It's not @ AKLV though, it's our other ''home'' of SSR.
If we do decide to go, we added the dining plan to save a bit of money, and we booked dining ressies (Sanaa for my birthday) but we can always cancel them if we have to. Supposed to be running the Orlando Half Marathon, haven't registered for that, waiting until i know for sure. So keep your fingers crossed that we're going

The crowds weren't too bad - which was a nice surprise!!! Overall - it was a good trip - now, were in full on Dec. countdown mode!!! Yee Ha

AND - this week is crazy - SOOOOO much to do, DS starts school next Wed!!!

Again, it was fun, but I'm glad to be home!

My daughter and I are staying at AKL for the first time for 6 nights in October! I am so excited
My only concern is whether or not I should rent a car at the airport for the duration of our stay or take DME and use the buses to all the theme parks.
Are the bus waits really as bad as some people say?
Also, are there taxis that wait near the entrance of Jambo house? We stayed at YC last month and never had a problem catching a taxi since there was almost always at least two waiting near the valet station.

We were at AKL for a week last October and will be again this October and we never had a problem with the buses. Have a wonderful time and enjoy yourself.

You must visit the bar in Jiko. You can order anything from their menu.
