My family will be staying at AKL Villas in a one bedroom standard view this May to celebrate my husband's graduation from medical school!!
There was a one bedroom standard view at Jambo and Kidani with the AP discount. I am soooo going back and forth about which to stay at - I booked Jambo because we love it there! Haven't ever stayed at Kidani. I know Kidani has the extra bathroom and is a little larger (which would be great) but I'm afraid we'd miss the Jambo lobby and Mara??????

Does anyone know specifically what the "view" differences are between the Kidani standard and Jambo standard? - or if anyone has any other info that might help me make a better decision, I'm all ears!

AKL is my husband's favorite deluxe (we've stayed in a regular room Savannah view in the past). Although I'm tempted to do Kidanai - i'm just afraid of missing the "Jambo" experience....

Oh, and another question - when we've stayed at Jambo in the past - we were upgraded, without asking, to a Savannah view from standard. Does this ever happen when booking one bedrooms??

DH says it aged him over night, he really did go gray and start losing his hair right after that. It was kinda weird.

Yes, he is really a different son now, we are very thankful!

Plus he gets to experience WDW.....

Congratulations on DH graduating from Med School, that is great!

I LOVE Jambo House, so I am not much help in the convincing part.... If you are celebrating your hubby's accomplishments and Jambo is his favorite, why not just stick with Jambo?

...one of the major differences is that they are situated on comepletely different savannahs - so, you will be viewing different animals....although the experience may be a little different, I wouldn't say that you'd be 'missing' the Jambo experience...GO FOR I!

DisneyFlower, I'm going to cast my vote for Jambo House too!! More activity, more WOW factor, plus (and this is JMO) the "standard" views for the Villas are better at Jambo than Kidani.

As to your question of upgrades, it is less likely to get an upgraded "view" at a Villa than a regular resort room, but it could happen. And make sure they know your family is celebrating a HUGE milestone. Graduation from Medical School is an amazing accomplishment. Congrats to your DH!!

I sent an email do WDW merchandising, I will have to check on that also. I was being greedy also. They had the pin for $10.95, the other site at the time was $16.95. Now its $24.95.......... HIGHWAY ROBBERY!.

But I want it, so who is going the soonest? Anyone before 30 days? We could sent them on a mission....

I'm the person who usually snoozes and loses, so rather than chance missing out, I ordered it for $16.95. But now to see that they're trying to get $24.95 for it is just ridiculous.

We need to check Brandi's list to see who will be there soon. Now if I could just remember which thread and which page that list is on!!!

Just checking in while Scott is on puppy watching duty She's doing great! Today she has her 1st appointment to get shampooed, ears cleaned, nails cut. She has her 1st puppy training class on Tueasday night.
And I got that job interview It's Tuesday morn @ 9am.
