Is it pointless to hope for a studio at HH or VB in Aug.

We would like to split our Aug. stay between OKW and HH or VB. Since HH and VB are not our home resorts, is it unreasonable for me to think at the 7 month mark that we have a chance in late Aug. for a studio at either one?

I think you would have a decent chance at VB for late August. A lot of kids are back to school then, and parents don't want kids to miss the first or second week of school.
I would try at both (VB-HH) and see what happens.

Last year in mid August we got a 3 BD Villa and multiple studios within the 7 month window. When we were there we were able to add on another room. This was a Sun/Mon. I personally don't think you will have a problem.

I don't think you will have a problem - but if you are worried - you can trade your points at your resort for a DVC member who has points at that resort

I think you'd have an excellent chance at Vero. Vero is not traditionally a "summer" resort....Disney folks just like to tack it onto their WDW vacations in the summer. Also, if you expand your studio to also include the Inn rooms (not very much different from a studio), you've got a lot of rooms to choose from.

Late August will probably be easier than earlier in the summer. VB will probably be easier than HH.

Don't overlook the Inn rooms at Vero. They are very nice and many are probably close in size to the studios. That will increase your odds of finding accomodations if you include that in your request.

Vero will likely be no problem. HH demand is mostly summer, Vero has more year round options and thus is able to spread out demand a little more. Enjoy the resort.

Hi, I was waitlisted for a studio the last week in August the year before last. Well, the waitlist never came through. And I even called several times. I believe I booked in February or March, so five or six months out didn't happen.

But maybe your luck will be better!
