Is it okay if you swallow a bracket from your braces?

My daughter woke up this morning and is missing a bracket. She says it was there when she went to sleep last night and she is afraid she swallowed it. Is she okay if she swallowed it? Will it pass normally or do I need to call a doctor?

Yep, I did. I was eating pizza and one of the back ones came off and I didn't realize it till I swallowed. Nothing bad happened, they didn't even have to put it back on because they were taking them off in a week.

I swallowed one of the bands waaayyy back when I was a kid - no problems at all - it will work it's way through. Unless she experiences stomach or digestive problems she's probably good to go!
