The way a person writes identifies themselves.

In a forum, members are not given timers and are not required to spell accurately or understandably. That much, is obvious...

But why do it?

I see a lot of that "chat" here as well as on a couple of other boards. I am not putting it down as I know everyone has their own rights to do things.

When I post...I want to try and sound at least half way intelligent, but that is just me lol. (I know some people would love to argue that lol.)

My question is...why not type in sentences? or why not type correctly? I'm only curious is all. :goodvibes

I judge you by how you type. I don't mean to, but I do. I like posts that have okay spelling (I suck at spelling so this isn't a big issue with me) that are short, to the point and have identified paragraphs.

thats not asking much. Now you don't have to type that way, just like I don't have to read your post. But you will get more responces from the "classic" posters (the people that are usually here. the ones that everyone knows) if you present yourself intelligently.

I'm not saying its unintelligent to type that way, but it does make you seem like youre unintelligent. JMO

Ummm...I do things both ways. Usually I have sentences and stuff...but more often than not I employ the use of "..." to connect my sentences and thoughts. Sometimes I type like I do on AIM with "u" or "w/e"...but more often than not I change it halfway thru (through) typing. IDK (See, maybe I use it more than I thought).

EDIT: I was just going to post something here, but decided not to because people might take offense to it...

you are right! I agree! I agree! I agree! :tigger:
I judge people on how well they spell.

Acronyms are naturally going to be used in a forum. It is simply done lol.

I always think in a forum, opinions are the most welcome. Say what you want as long as it doesn't directly flame a member! :thumbsup2
