Is it OK to save a spot in line?

I'm just shocked at the number of people out there who apparently flunked "standing in line" in kindergarten...

Same here.

It's not as though Disney is the only place people encounter a lines. I don't ask DH to hold a place in line at the grocery store while I still shop. I don't push past people in the post office if I see someone I know ahead of me on line.

OMG...10 pages of this?! UGH! I would have figured THIS dead horse would have been buried PAGES ago!! DON'T line jump unless there are VERY extenuating circumstances :3dglasses and even THEN be prepared for the dirty looks!! I have an idea...I think I'm going to start another thread about pool hopping, or how children over the age of 2 don't belong in a stroller! :scared1: Just kidding... popcorn:: I usually just page away from a thread like this, but I'm feelin' kinda cranky!

Agree with PPs. Saving a spot in any line defeats the purpose of the line.
I don't know why. I don't mind if people are there and someone joins them, unless someone is just pretending to join. If you are able to utilize your time while someone uses the restroom or gets a drink, why not? Life is not always fair. We used to do this at Disneyland , learned it from long time locals, but we don't any longer since it upsets people.
