)...we rode Pirates and literally walked right on and had the whole boat to ourselves. We spent the morning on that side of the park and almost walked right on to everything. Later in the day there were longer waits all around the park, but first thing it wasn't so bad in AL/FL/NO Square area
My boys are teens and we can get there at a good pace and still be together. And of course, this summer it will be just DH and I. We raised up some Disneyland Commandos! 
Although I'm sure Hound wants you to follow through on your plan out of curiousity, reading his post made me really think about it. Honestly, I'd try Nemo earlier, then head over to IJ to simply ride it once the whole park opens. Or have Indy on a non-MM day, getting there early and heading there. Most people "turn right" and go to Tomorrowland...the no-MM people go to Nemo or Fantasyland, others go to space, etc...I've never had a problem turning left and going to Adventureland very first thing on a non-MM day!
And if you were OUT of the MM lines and in the line waiting for ADventureland at the end of MM, you could probably take advantage of fewer people going to Adventureland, b/c of all the MM-goers being stuck in those lines.

I agree and do not run for fastpasses. I got one when with Calvin but usually just enjoy the parks with my friends instead of scurrying across the parks.I never get the importance of having to rush to this and leaving the family behind at that.
Isn't it all about making family memories together?
You might miss some special character interaction with your kids while you are "running" to get this fast pass.
It's about the journey together, for me.
But each family is different and if this is what works for you then be careful and don't run!

DH, however, doesn't particularly want the family memory of 4 females having to stand in line to use the restroom in Adventureland. He'd rather stride off purposefully and grab a FP for Indy, while we're crossing our legs and muttering about gender inequalities in public restrooms.
Or, if you're like Vacation Dad or Hydroguy, you let the mom and kids knock themselves out shopping for gewgaws in the stores in Frontierland, 'cause it's not your thing, while you go get a FP for Splash, and pick up a clandestine churro on the way (or corny dog, if you're Hound 109). Just be sure to wipe away all evidences of cinnamon sugar before you get back to the group.
