Is it me or is cyber monday a flop?

I think part of the problem is that there were so many good online sales last week. Therefore, today would be a bust.

Macy's started their CyberMonday sale yesterday. My purchase qualified for free shipping anyway (a set of sheets, normally $150); however it was 10% off yesterday. Code word cyber.

I lucked out, because I went to Macy's yesterday, and they were out. Bought the sheets as a bridal shower present for DD25

If you still need your Christmas cards, Vistaprint is having a Cyber week sale:

I was just writing the same thing to my SIL - Cyber Monday is a disappointment. I was looking forward to AG sales (nothing was even that great of a price, not like in years past!), and Seatbeltbags didn't have great prices on their stuff either, other than their Barbie line, which has long been discontinued. In years past, they had wristlets for under $20, and other accessories for lower prices.

The only semi-ok deal I've seen has been the Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar. It's normally $40, but today, it's $25. For Lego, especially Star Wars Lego, that's a heck of a deal! Too bad DH had already gotten our kiddo a different Lego Advent calendar.

I agree with a PP. Looks like the kids on our Christmas List won't get nearly as much, although I'll be spending the same amount of $. :confused3

I found one deal- Cardstore.com has 39 cent photo Christmas cards plus free shipping with code CCN2639. I ordered 25 and paid $9.97.

I was disappointed with today until I went on Amazon. I just purchased Photoshop cs6 for $499 (regularly $699.) Today is a good day for me. :)

Vera Bradley has some good sales going on. Half off hipsters and duffels.

Looks like the hipster I want is the only one not on sale. Darn.

I did good at Eddie Bauer - I had been needing something in a tall size and today I got 40% off and free shipping - so that was a win win for me:cool1:

Thanks for the reminder. We've been waiting for a 40% off sale so we can purchase a down comforter - today I might finally take the plunge. :thumbsup2

Is this at lego.com? I do want that calender, but don't want to pay for shipping......

I am not impressed today. I did much better online on Black Friday. And it seems like a lot of the retailers are sending out emails about special deals and the supplies are so limited, they are pretty much gone before you can even open the email. I've had that happen three times already this morning and can tell you the retailers are hearing from me and I will not place an order with them. It smacks too much of "bait and switch" when that happens. So I haven't bought much at all today.

I did excellent today. I got the Kindle Fire for $129 and free shipping. I also got a 10 n 1 case cover bundle on Ebay for $12 bucks w/ free shipping.

I have not been tempted by any of the sales I've seen except for the Amazon lightning deal for the Brave dvd. Missed it last time - this time I was prepared and got one

I've checked other places for possible gifts, but everything has either been sold out or they don't offer free shipping. I think too many stores offered their deals the whole weekend and did not hold any special stuff for today.

It will be interesting to see how it shapes up, as Cyber Monday is predicted to generate 1.5 billion in sales - they are predicting more than last year!

I bought 3 shirts and one sweater on Coldwater Creek. It was 50% the entire site and free shipping. The total was $62 and change.

Legos are the big items my kids like, and I've learned that they seem to always have the best sales in October or after Christmas. I did, however, buy a pair of skinny jeans for myself that I had tried on last week at White House Black Market for 35% off and free shipping. Should I wrap them up?

My dad was so cute today. He called me up to ask if I thought my mother would like a Kindle Fire.

I told him that yeah, that would be a good gift. He was so unsure about his purchase (he did the $129 Amazon deal) and needed reassurance. LOL.

I did tell him to make sure he gets her a case for it. And that the more I think about it, the more I think she will like it. She was playing with mine a couple of weeks ago - playing with the apps I have on it.

I have not purchased anything online today. Gonna take a peek at the Aeropostale website - not sure if I will purchase anything - but will look anyway.

Converse.com is having 25% off sale today and tomorrow. I got DD the sequin converse she wanted.

Macy's friends and family starts Wednesday - so 25% off there. So the current promotion for cyber Monday is not as good - plus the Friends and Family they run is off of literally everything. Today's deal excludes a lot of brands.

I tried to score a Black Friday deal on a Kindle Fire at Best Buy, but to no avail. I was stoked to see the Amazon deal this morning, and even more glad that you could apply the $30 off to the "without special offers" version. But overall, I was not impressed for the sales on Black Friday, just not on stuff my kids were into.

Not much here either, but I did just get a few things at express for my DD14 (2 tops and a purse). 40% off site-wide & free shipping today -- and then I used a code "2449" (an additional $20 Off $50, $50 Off $125 or $80 Off $240 Ends 11/26/12). It is stackable.

HTH somebody...

The kindle fire on amazon was a good deal, but my kids got them last year...
