Is it likely - no park availability 4/19-4/22??

DH, DS26 and I are going to WDW for 5 nights, mostly to use our DVC points before they expire, but also to go to GS in DS to put old tickets on MDE. We are hoping to use old tickets that might have a day or 2 on them. Meanwhile, I have AP vouchers in my MDE for DH and I, so I was able to book 2 park days for ther two of us a few weeks ago. However, we won't be activating the APs this trip, so we are booked using tickets we aren't going to use, which seems like it may be an issue. DS can't make reservations until we get to WDW and add the old ticket onto his account.

Currently, I see that only APs can make reservations for HS that week but the other parks are open for tickts holders/resort guests. It would have been nice if we could all get to HS one day and I read some of the advice given to another person in a similar situation on the boards. But, my fear is that we won't be able to book any park that all 3 of us could get into that week. MK is my second choice, but I will be happy if we get to at least one park at this point.

So, what do you all think about there being no reservations available for any park when we get to WDW for M, T, W or Th (4/19-4/22)?

The AP vouchers won’t be an issue. Waiting until you arrive to try and add park reservations for the 3rd person may well be difficult. Is there any way you can contact WDW about adding the old tickets now? The sooner you can get those added and start checking for a park reservation, the better chances you have. That is vacation week for much (most?) schools in New England.

Thanks for responding and your thought about calling. I wanted to use our old non-expiry tickets but I also have some newer ones that may have better chance of being added over the phone.

Depending "how old" the old ones are, you may be able to get those added to MDE by contacting WDW. I've read people scanned the front and back of the tickets. But if they are older than maybe 2004 or so, probably not. But if you have other tickets you can add those for purpose of booking the park reservations. Just be sure to get the ones you want to use added and prioritized before entering a park. The theme park reservation system indicates something about "same ticket" but it doesn't seem to be accurate. Any valid ticket can be used for the theme park reservation and a different valid ticket used for park entry.

The ones I want to use are from before 2004 but I do think I have some newer ones too. Thank you for the info and advice about prioritizing!
