Is it just me...

Or are things starting out very rough for a lot of people this year? There seems to be more calls for P&PD for sick or lost family this year than in past years in January.

Is it just because this is the worst January in my life so I'm noticing it more, or is 2004 really starting out that much worse for people?

I think a couple things, Tammi. With you own aching heart, you may be more aware of others hurting too, plus, the DIS/CB seems to be returning to a nice 'feel good' feeling (at least for me, and others have told me for them also ) and thus, I think more people are 'comfortable' here, sharing, asking, comforting. Just a couple thoughts of why, that I can think of, Tammi.

I think maybe a little bit of both, Tammi. You've been through a huge loss so I definately think things affect a person more deeply in a circumstance like that.

For me personally, I've known 4 people who have died since 12/29...and another one whose death from cancer is imminent...

But none are family members...I really feel for those who have lost a family member recently, my heart goes out to them.
