we are planning a trip in Oct of 2014 and I was gonna make a reservation just for security, and I notice the rate went up from a few weeks ago. they went up at least a few hundred dollars is this normal? does it change? if it does I will wait to reserve the room we were gonna be 5 but now we will be 6. I would love to stay on site but $600 a night is ridiculous when just a few weeks ago it was about $250 a night.

Rates will change a ton of times before then. Lots of people haven't even booked for October 2013 yet as those AP rates aren't even out.

thank you i feel better. we really would like to stay on site since we have never done it before. I guess I will have to wait till the rates go down to book

if you do book onsite rooms, link the 2 ressies together.

i booked in the winter for my october stay.
another homie that is waiting for the AP rates to be released.

i always book 10-11 months out and modify my rate when the discounts come out.

The nice thing about booking early and more expensive is, your deposit is bigger. This means when the rate goes lower you will have less to pay when you get there since the deposit comes off the total. Also if the rate does not change (it will change) you can cancel up to I believe 5-6 days before checkin.:thumbsup2

That makes alot of sense.. I know I have sometime I just like to get things done so I don't have anything to worry about later.
