Is it just me or is this nuts?

I am reading through the cruise contract and I just got to clause 18, which reads, in part..." the carrier does not expressly...warrant...as to (a) the fitness, condition or seaworthiness of the vessel"

I know it is legalease, but I just found it funny that they don't really promise the ship won't sink. All I know is that I am going anyway!

Yes the contract is "nuts". I like the part where they waive all liability (up to and including the ship sinking), and if anything at all bad happens, it's your fault (the we broke it -- YOU buy it clause)! Guess what, it does not stop any of us from cruisin'.

Have fun, don't worry, but if the ship sinks, you as a paying passenger may have to buy them a replacement ship.
