Is it just me, or have you noticed

the radio stations have been playing an awful LOT of Christmas music this year?

Two of our local radio stations have been playing ONLY Christmas music since the second week of November!

There's a station here in town that has (I think) been playing Christmas music 24/7 since before Thanksgiving. I think Robinrs works for them.

Yes, I noticed that here too. I find it a little irritating that they play Christmas music so much 6 weeks before Christmas, and then when the REAL Christmas season arrives, they STOP cold! This is Advent! The beginning of the church year. Christmas starts Dec. 24 and lasts until Epiphany. THAT is when I want to hear my Christmas music!

I agree with Diane. I want the Christmas music to keep going for a while, at least until most of us have taken our trees down. Even though my church doesn't celebrate Epiphany, I don't feel like Christmas is over on December 26.

The Christian station I listen to will occassionally play Christmas music in the summer. That always brightens my day.

Just curious what Christian church doesn't celebrate Epiphany? All I know of do. That is when the tree kings visit the Christ child. i.e. the 12th day of Christmas!

The one I listen to...has gone to 100% Christmas music through December! Last year I was searching for Christmas Songs!!

At work I listen to live365, and my favorite station is Mouseworld Radio. They started playing just Disney Christmas music Thanksgiving weekend. Normally, I'm not a Scrooge, but I miss my WDW music. The other stations that play WDW music have too many ride audios. Mouseworld played a better variety. I have never been to WDW at Christmas, so the Christmas music does not evoke the same warm, fuzzy feeling the normal music did. I really miss my station!

I haven't heard any Christmas music on the radio.

If some kind soul could tell me which New York stations are playing them, I'll be mightly grateful.

Two of our FM stations are playing non-stop Christmas music (since mid November) and the AM station my mom listens to (mostly Sinatra type stuff) is also playing only Christmas music. I love Christmas music, but maybe this is a little much.

dianeschlicht - I agree with you. I am leaving my tree up through Epiphany this year since I still haven't put it up yet. My sister does this every year.
