Oh gosh, I must be a misplaced Pennsylvanian! LOL They play her all the time, along with most of the others that were nominated, on a local pop station here in NW Pa. I'm halfway between Titusville & Oil City, about 2 hrs. north of Pittsburgh...Quick history lesson...Titusville is known as the birthplace of the Oil industry...and you all thought it started in Texas.=0)

It's not just Pennsylvania that's been kept in the dark--we've never heard of her either. Our two teens admitted they've heard the ONE song BUT it wasn't on a regular rotation for air time around here. I've never even heard of the girl and hadn't heard the song played on the radio (top 40 or otherwise) ever. I didn't care much for it from what I heard of it.

The kids were also major bummed that Vanessa Carleton and/or Avril LaVigne were shut out.

As to Norah writing her own music, well--maybe she does, but she apparently didn't write the one song being so highly touted.

lovely new voices nom. for awards this year (I group them together as they are all cute with long dark hair and 2 have sim. styles) Norah Jones, not 1 but 8 awards, Michelle Branch, and Vanessa Carlton. Im just glad that with all the girl comp for awards, Jon Mayer didnt get completely jilted (he got 1) BTW, as far as I could tell all 3 of the chickies kept their private bits private, as they should be. You dont have to leave your goodies hanging out in order to look tasty

actually, they do play Norah Jones' song in Pennsylvania. I've only heard it played on the satellite feed in the dept. store where I work, thought it sounded familiar so many times...like during an ice skating competition. Did Sarah Hughes ever skate to it, or another song by her?

I am a bit music illiterate also (apparently!) I have heard of Nora Jones, but couldnt tell you one song she sings!
