I am quite sure that Disney is getting a piece of the pie, so to speak, as far as those pressure washing companies go.
They have cracked down about outside cart rentals..but they have placed NO restrictions on the pressure washing companies. Gotta be that they make money off of it, and are willing to look the other way. All I know is that if I traveled some 1200 miles with my travel trailer to FW and had to hear the drone of power washing day after day..I'd be pretty upset about it.
Especially considering what Disney is charging for those premium sites these days.
I wonder ...has anyone ever complained to management about the noise?..or inquired as to why this goes on to begin with?
I'd be very curious as to their response. Maybe the Fort management needs to hear more often from those campers who have found this situation to be annoying. It's supposed to be a campground not a car wash.
I can certainly understand the need to clean your rig after a long trip..but that can be done quietly with a hose..no need to power wash while you're in a campground.
For the same money, you could buy a power washer and do it when you get home.
I would think that if this is a service that many people desire, that Disney should designate a specific area as to where this can be done without bothering fellow campers. Maybe a specific loop..or even a designated area where you can line up and get the rigs washed? Certainly something to consider and would make everyone happy. Clean rigs..and happy campers.
I also feel a good many people who visit the Fort do so to enjoy the Fort..not just the parks. We have been to Disney many times..and don't have a need to be in the parks all day. The idea of a camping vacation is to enjoy the campground. Fort Wilderness has a host of amenities that one can enjoy. Oh..and we don't have a pop up or a dog that we travel with. Lucky us..he gets car sick..lol!
