Is it Funny or Tastless?? (a prank)

I find it tasteless. I would tell DH if they don't call it off I am planning to tell him. If your DH gets mad, then he'll get glad again. They need to come up with something else if it so important to them to play a joke on this guy. Sometimes playing a joke on someone can go very wrong.

I personally do not see the humor in it....

Utterly tasteless, rude, and humiliating.

Actually rather sick IMHO.

Your DH and the others in on it may not think it is so funny if it ends up ruining this couples marriage. Stranger things have happened. I don't think it is funny at all.

Not funny at all..........kinda sounds like something college kids would try, not grown men with families.

These are his friends????? Hmmmm, I am not someone who finds these kinds of adult pranks funny.......I think it is in poor taste and I am surprised that the wife went along with it. But, he is not my friend, and if the group thinks that this can be one big joke and everyone can have a laugh at his expense and he will take it as the joke it is meant to be, then so be it. I am sure they are going to do it anyhow...too much planning to let it go now. I am surprised the wife went along, maybe she is fed up with his obsessive behavior and wants to shock into reality.

So dumb. They can't find anything more productive to do with their time?

I think it's very tasteless and rude! Just plain sick.

And as someone who is incredible anal, I get very tired of the constant comments. Especially at work! Why is it such a big deal to others?? I'm sorry that you have such low standards but I DON'T. So what if I use hand sanitizer a lot or like everything to be in order, I don't get why that's such a big deal to others. I'm sorry that I like things in order, that I appreciate cleanliness, and that I have high standards, but that's how I am and I don't need people to joke about it and remind me about it constantly. I feel perfectly fine the way I am.

This is a very sore point with me.

I swear he has obsession compulisve behavior.. For a man with 6 kids, A wife and a dog, he is way too clean.. He also gets bent out of shape very easily.. He is your typical male drama queen.. :rotfl2:

You know this IS an actual disorder. It's not just some thing people made up so that others can joke about. It can actually be very frustarating at times to people who have it.

I can tell. But there's no sense in saying that you have "high" standards compared to somebody's "low" standards. They're just "different" standards and different priorities.

(sore point with me as well -- from someone with "low" standards... er, different priorities :rotfl: )

See that's fine, but I get bothered when people with "different priorities" get on my case because I ask them why they are mopping with dirty, cold water, or not rotating the candy or not sanitizing the dishes (things at work that SHOULD be done), that's what bugs me.

I just get so much grief that it helps me to just mentally repeat "high standards, high standards," :rotfl2:

I promise, I'll worship the ground you walk on if you come to my house and sanitize it for me. :worship: I swear I won't tease you for it!

Tastless

You really should talk with him and come up with a plan to get them back. Teach them a lesson or two also.

I would turn it around on the pranksters. Have the wife tell her husband and when he opens it, have him say, "Dear, wasn't that nice that she sent these. It was a lot of fun" and have the wife sit there and say, "yes, we should send her a thank you note!"

I agree that either this guy has an OCD, in which case he shouldn't be made fun of or it's his personality, in which case he shouldn't be made fun of. A heart to heart from someone he cares about might be a different thing, but I don't understand public humiliation.

Can't you explain to your husband how much this bothers you and have him respect your feelings not to be able to go along with this?? I would risk my husband getting ticked off at me and go talk to the man. I am a huge jokester, but that is freakin cruel. :guilty:

It mostly just sounds dumb. It's not funny or creative and will only reflect poorly on the pranksters.
