I think "slow" is also a relative term. What I consider slow from back in the late 90's and what someone else would consider slow can be very different.
I remember Octobers of not just walk on attractions, but pictures on Main Street and in front of the WS lake with NO ONE in the background. Entire resorts or sections of resorts being closed and people moved to other resorts. Loved getting a $99 savannah view room at AKL because they shut down CBR for a while. POFQ was closed for a while too.
That is my concept of slow. Now it is either more crowded or less crowded, but always crowded...
