Is it even worth it?

if its your first visit you should do the park. nevermind that toy story land is rumored to be opening in late may which may be before your trip. if it isn't open, spend a half day at the park and do a half pool day afterwards. there is always a way to make it work.

Yes. Even with 6 days it's worth at least half a day if not a full 8 hours or so.

Rock and roll coaster, rowe of terror you could do alone, toy story mania, frozen Live are all great. Do brown derby for lunch. Take boat over to boardwalk hotels to walk around and have an afternoon drink. Back to Hollywood to just hang out and go thru shops, do more rides if possible, see fireworks and then head back to boardwalk for late dinner at flying fish and head over to dueling piano place for a fun way to close out night.

Yeah I would do it. Even without hoppers. Have done many trips in the 5-6-7 day range and we'd hit each park at least once. If you were doing 4 or fewer days I'd consider skipping it. You're going to have some long and some short park days, so just make HS one of your short ones. There is plenty to do for all ages and altho half the park is under construction, most of this is new space! It's not like half of the park closed. Most of the new land is the former car stunt show and movie tour ride that took up a lot of space with little content.

What would be your alternative for that 6th day - a 3rd day at the Magic Kingdom? I think you'd get more value out of doing 2 days at the MK and 1/2 day at HS than 2-1/2 days at the MK. You'll have covered the Kingdom pretty well with the 2.

With six park days and no hopper, I would do 2 days at MK and Epcot, 1 day at HS and AK. In HS without Tower of Terror, you have Rock n Roller Coaster, Toy Story Midway Mania, and Star Tours for rides--more if Toy Story Land is open by your trip. The shows on my personal list include Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Indiana Jones Stunt Show, Muppet Vision 3D, Frozen Ever After, Fantasmic, and One Man's Dream (if they are showing their excellent movie on Walt's life). Plus I never miss 50s Prime Time Cafe.
I agree with this. You can definitely make a full day out of HS if you throw in a meal and take advantage of the shows.

I think the Studios are worth doing. We are a couple in our 60's. I am terrified of heights & get terribly motion sick. My DH has been doing ToT & Star Tours alone for years. I browse the shops or people watch while he's doing them. We did Frozen Sing Along for the first time about a year ago. We have never seen the movie but did it to kill some time. It was really funny with lots of jokes that were for adults & over the heads of the kids. The other shows are all worth seeing at least once too.

I am an older woman who likes Star Wars, certainly not a crazed fanatic, but I love March of the First Order. I know it's just a bunch of kids in costume, but I stop to watch whenever I hear that music! :rotfl2: All the Star Wars stuff is worth a visit in my opinion too.

For dining, Sci Fi Dine In is like nothing anywhere else. Yea, the movie is campy, but the atmosphere is different from any other restaurant. The Movie Magic or what ever that projection show is called was really good too.

I agree with the majority that you should spend a day there. You could either 1)get there very early and spend some time in the evening relaxing at the hotel pool or exploring Disney Springs or 2) use it as a sleep in day (plan to go there after what looks like will be the most exhausting day - like a late night at MK) and get to the park at 11-12. That way you spend the rest of the day there and get to close out with Fantasmic.

Others have done a good job listing all of the shows - there are a lot of shows there. The only way I wouldn't spend a day there is if you had absolutely no interest in shows in general.

We spent the entire day at HS in July. 3 kids and 2 adults. Some things we did more than once. We rode TSMM 3 or 4 times (with limited waits). We spent a bunch of time in Star Wars Launch Bay. Did various character meet and greets. We had two table service meals (Mama Melrose Fantasmic package for lunch and Hollywood Brown Derby for lunch). Fantasmic is the best nighttime show in WDW so you might want to figure out if you can fit it in.
