I think they keep tables open for the CP but I don't know for sure as I have never booked the CP. I am sure someone will answer. I know I have read that those not wanting CP packages have had a hard time getting ADRs so that is why I think they must either hold tables or maybe not even take reservations until the packages go on sale.
Your plans look great. Lot of great restaurants
I am really not sure about CP and dining. Hopefully someone will come along knowing the answer. If not, call up Disney dining and ask![]()
It does have me wondering.....I'm thinking the packages won't go on sale prior to my ADR date but maybe they will. You would think they would, so people trying to set up all their ADR's could get it all done at once. I do know, you can't officially book the package online, you do have to do that thru Disney Dining. I was going to make the LeCellier lunch be the meal on the package (more bang for the buck since it's 2 credits) but since I heard this was a harder ADR to get.....I decided to do the Coral Reef as our package meal. Hopefully this one won't be as popular and hard to get. I think I might go ahead & book a lunch time there & then when the packages come available I'll call Disney Dining & tell them I have a time reserved & they can adjust from there.
I think the way people book MYW packages and book ADR's have a direct result on how many CP combo packages they allow and how many for each restaurant. I'm sure they hold some tables back right off the bat. Then they can add to them, as needed per availablity. Which is why some of the more persistent people back in 2010 were able to book packages a couple of weeks before their trips.
As for the booking itself... And where, which meal and which day, there in lies the fun and the fury. Once they announce the day that we can book, everyone that you've seen on the "roll call" thread will wake up early, start feverishly calling the booking number and gripe on the thread simultaneously. But speaking from experience, the combo is totally worth it.
I'll see if I can find my 2010 thread where we were bantering while waiting on the phone at 5am.
You may have done this already but I am not in the mood to work today so I did a search ...

Thank god!!!!
37 minutes on hold on my office phone and my cell phone...
Hearing the music in stereo, non-stop...
3 24oz cups of Dunkin Donuts coffee
I got EXACTLY what I was looking for.
Le Cellier 5:05pm/8:15 show Dec. 10th
Good luck to everyone. Keep hanging in there.
I found the CP thread that I was part of in 2010. From page 58 - 105 covers the day that we all woke up early to get our CP combo reservations. 47 pages covering from 5am August 26th to 9:45pm. It is an interesting read.

Here is 1 of my quotes from that day...
And that was just 1 quote from that day.
The best advice I can give, be flexible. On my collection of post-its, I had 5 different restaurants and 2 different show times.
Sounds good.....I will do that!! I pretty much have back-up plans on all the other meals, so it makes sense to have one for this as well.
I like the idea of the first show, but I've read it's not dark enough to really get the candle glow.....so I think we'll take what we can get. I didn't want to spoil our show by being in line & hearing a prior show going on......but I want to get the full experience, so maybe the late show might be the way to go.......I don't know......I'll just play it by ear & go when we can get a spot!!![]()
I think the key with CP packages it to have several options in mind, and it seems like you already have that in place.
Your plans look great! Not too much longer until your ADR date![]()
Don't let the fact that you will be in line during 1 of the shows deter you from seeing a later show. BDLsgal and I were in line for under an hour (even with the combo), and you will notice a little of the music as background noise. You are mostly preoccupied with reminiscing about the day/trip, not just with the people you are travelling with, but the strangers turned to friends you make in line.
We met a nice couple that were New England transplants that now live in Charlotte.
That's good to know.......I'm good with any of the show times & we only planned 2 meals for that day.....so a mid-afternoon meal would be perfect.![]()
It's funny you say that. We went to the CP our first day. We just grabbed coffee and donuts in the morning. We had an 11am ADR for Tutto Italia (a very under rated restaurant) so that we'd be able to have our Le Cellier ADR at 5-ish. We really enjoyed our meals and were filled for the day.
We must've been full. We walked past Karamelle Kuche a couple of times without walking in. A feat we couldn't accomplish our 2nd day at EPCOT.![]()
HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY TO MICHAYLA & SHYANN!!!

Hard to believe it's been 5 years already!!
They are wicked cute. You should pro-actively create a disboards acct for them. And for their countdown ticker, instead of "XXXX days until YYYY" you should make it "XXXX# of inches until able to go on E-ticket rides"
Happy Birthday to your sweet girls![]()
