I'm wondering why you wouldn't have received the 2009 funds then if they didn't even see the 2010 return? The IRS is so hard to deal with!!

The refund was offered for the 2010 year, which means you have to amend the year of the adoption (2006 & up) and all the years leading up & including 2010. So they won't offer the refund without the 2010 return. It was all there....I know it was. Just frustrated that we're facing yet another speed bump....it should have been here before Derek had to leave for Orlando......and as each week went by the more worried I got. I guess I should have made a trip to Salem to have them look at this back in June.

I have a lot of trading pins......I don't trade. I buy the ones I love. If I get a bonus free pin or grab bag pins, I'll trade those off.....but for the most part, most of these were specifically bought.

I have a really nice soft sided case to store them in, but I can only enjoy them when I zip it open & look. So I've been wanting to put them in shadow boxes to display them.....I finally started on them. I put together one big frame with most of my Mickey pins.

Then I did 4 small boxes. The first one has a couple of my treasured Disneyland 50th Anniversary pins.

The second one is Disneyland pins.....love the ticket book....the hand moves up & down.

The third has Sleeping Beauty Castle/Disneyland specific.

The 4th one is Walt Disney pins. Very special to me!!

I haven't even started on my Tinkerbell pins. I have a special holder with all of them in it. I have holiday pins from when I was there during a certain holiday/holiday season. I have some princess pins. I have some show/parade pins. I have some Pixar pins. I have a bunch of other misc. pins (including a couple WDW pins). So I'm just starting this project (mostly money is holding it up)......but now my pins are out where I can see & enjoy them!!

I'm pretty sure you didn't hurt Nick's feelings...... It's a running joke and he made the right call......I would have called for Mike too!!!!

I try to avoid those types of clean ups (I gag too much)....not that Mike enjoys it, but he seems to handle the gag reflex much better than me!!

We're glad we did to.....if we had waited for the response letter to find out that they don't have the 2010 to finish up our amendments/refund......then we definitely would be canceling our trip. The agent was hoping by sending this all in with the letter to tie it back into our active file in the computer that they would be able to get right on this to finish it. (of course there are no guarantees & she was sure to point out that these are taking 8-12wks). I hope since it's half done that it will take the shorter amount of time...but there's nothing quick with the IRS.....they don't believe in expediting things. So we're at the mercy of the agent that opens our file.
