We miss the letters!

Zoe & the kids still talk on the phone for birthdays.

The BBQ is the bomb-diggity!!!! It's so good!! The cornbread has pieces of corn in it.....delicious!!

Random characters?? Not sure what you're talking about....... Minnie, Max, Eeyore & Pooh was a character breakfast at the Plaza Inn.

The only other character was the Evil Queen......she likes to hang out in Snow White's Grotto by the wishing well.

Oh, ok.....lol Max is pretty regular at the Minnie & Friends breakfast & we've also seen him at Goofy's Kitchen & Surf's Up with Mickey.

The Evil Queen is pretty regular around the castle. Its funny the characters we're used to seeing in DL and the one's WDW vets are used to seeing. I've seen pics of all sorts of characters I've never seen at WDW & am excited to get that chance!!! (Belle in the blue dress, Marie, Mulan, etc)

After our delicious BBQ dinner, we headed over to see the Celebrate, A Street Party parade.

It was a fun, colorful parade with lots of characters (rare ones like Clarabell Cow & Clarice the Chipmunk).

We realized at this point that the twins parkhoppers had fallen off of Mike's lanyard. In a total panic, Mike went back up to Splash Mtn (as this was the last ride he did) to see if someone had found them. No luck. I went to City Hall & the Lost and Found outside of DCA & still no luck. They told me to come back in the morning as anything found in the parks gets taken to their office after park closing.

I went back into Disneyland & spent a little more time with our friends. We had a great day with them and was bummed out our day ended on such a sour note.

Day 10, Disneyland day 6 (and last day).

Anthony got sick in the middle of the night, bringing the funniest moment on the entire trip. We had rooms, side by side but not connecting. Anthony was sleeping with his 3 older brothers. At about 3am, we hear a knock at the door.....it was Nick. Mike opens the door & he says "I need an adult"!! lol (keep in mind that our older boys were 25, 23, & 21.....) We haven't let Nick live this down. I won't go into details.....but it was pretty gross, which explains why the boys didn't want to deal with things.

So we had a 9:30 reservation for the Surf's Up with Mickey breakfast. Anthony was still tired & wasn't hungry, so Betty stayed at the motel with him so the rest of the family could go. Before we all met up at the restaurant, I ran over to the Lost & Found to see if our twins tickets had been turned in. No luck.....so they sent me to yet another place to get this resolved.......When I got up to the window of the ticket booths....the guy could tell I was already stressed out. I explained (again) what had happened, showed them our Disney Travel package, I brought everyone's parkhoppers to show the number sequence & show that 2 in the middle were missing. They were able to scan our PH's to see that we all had used 5 of the 6 days and so they printed up 2 new PH's for the twins for one day. Whew........I was pretty worried that we were going to have to buy the girls new tickets.....so glad this got worked out.

So my advice to you if you lose your PH's.............DON'T!!!!!!!!

So I met the family at Paradise Pier Hotel for our character breakfast. Michayla had not responded to any of the characters, so we were in shock when she ran up to Mickey and started playing with his foot. He sat down with her & it was a very touching moment for us.

We saw Pluto, Stitch, Minnie & Goofy as well.

Stitch came back by before we left......the twins not quite sure how to react.

We were heading out, when they started dancing & Shyann took off to join in, followed by Addy & then Michayla. (the twins love dancing!!)

Once the music ended, we headed out full & happy!!

He wasn't, all the boys had a 12 hr bug during that week. We thought it was from too much sun when Tyler first got it.......but when Derek & Nick also had a small bout of illness....we knew it wasn't. Anthony just couldn't react quick enough.........

Mike's & my thoughts after that meal was, we wish the twins had reacted that way from day one and not waited until the last day. But I'm glad we got at least one good meal!!

Well, we went to the IRS office in Salem on Thursday to figure out what the hold up was on our adoption credit. It's supposed to take 8-12 weeks (I know better than that....it usually takes longer than that). At 21 weeks, I called and was told the 2009 amended return was finished with our credit forwarded to our 2010, but the 2010 was "closed" in May. We've never received a letter or the refund, so they were sending an inquiry to figure out what had happened. Well after 2 more weeks, we decided to go talk to someone in person....just to make sure that inquiry actually was put in motion. The gal said, I probably won't be able to tell you anymore than the phone call....but that was far from the truth.

She was able to open our file to see all the scanned in documents when they received our amended returns in February. The 2010 return was not in any of the documents. Well we know we sent them & we also went over both 2009 & 2010 to make sure everything was there (last year when we did this on the twins, one piece of paper was missing which held it up for 26 wks). She didn't come right out and say they "lost" it.....but.....she also said, it could take up to 45 days to hear back on the inquiry & she believes their response would be......what 2010 return??

So she suggested to copy everything again & resubmit it with the letter we got back in April, stating the 2009 was done & the refund amt was carry forwarded to 2010 (for the refund). This way, when they receive it (early next week)....they can start processing it and it should be done in 8-12 weeks.

This is where I need your good thoughts, fingers crossed, etc........... If this takes the 12 weeks (or more, which it easily can)......we will have to cancel this trip, as we won't have our money in time to pay off our Disney packages. We need a lot of *+*+*Pixie Dust*+*+* that they IRS will expedite this return & get us our return in time. I'm a nervous wreck and physically ill about the possibility of this trip being on ice. I'm pretty sure at this point, we won't be able to take advantage of the free dining.......and I'm ok with that....as long as we still get to go!! (of course not having flights booked is scaring me too!!)
