have all the solid pieces in one section by color and then in another area have all your patterned paper sorted by color?
I have been really organizing my stuff and I have about 150 sheets of paper to put away! Which then got me looking at all my paper....
Right now I have pattern and solids together....

I had dale make me some nice wire shelving to seperate my paper. I keep one stack of black, one of white, one of baby papers(mixed solid/patterns),heritage papers, solids, patterns and one last stack that consists of solids and patterns that I bought specifically to go together!! I also have a shoe box of large scraps that come in handy!
Happy organizing!

I have my colors seperated by shades ( all blues together, all purples , all pinks , etc ) on my target cube shelf, and I keep my small stock of patterned paper (12x12 ) in my keepsake box from a kit my son brought on qvc. My 81/2 x 11 paper is in an accordian file in my desk drawer and scraps are kept in a accordian file ( the kind with the little closing )near my chair.

I keep my "themed" patterned paper together...like Baby, Disney, Animals, Vacation.

General patterned paper is kept in the envelope with the solids, since I often use them like a solid.

I also keep some designers separate. I love DoodleBug paper, and have pretty much all of it, which is also sorted by color...so it is easy to find.

Clear as mud?

I have the CUBE
reds
pinks
oranges
yellows
greens
blues
purples
blacks and browns
whites and creams

If patterened paper is mostly one of those colors it goes on those shelves - PROBLEM IS I have 3 shelves of patterened paper that could go with more than one of those colors!

I did make the 'pizza boxes' and when I get more of them I think I will make a 'floral' box, a 'plaid' box, etc!

Good luck!

Maybe we should stop buying and start using all this paper ahe!
LOL

First I had them all separated by colors and if patterned or solid but then I found I wouldn't have the solid left that I bought to go with the patterned paper.

So, now I have solid sorted by colors, patterns, and then patterns with the solid paper I bought to go with it together. Then of course theirs the speciality papers, like the vellums and mulberrys and then the packages of mats. . YIKES by George I believe I have to much paper. I need to start using my supplies.
