This will be our first time spending Christmas and New Year's Eve at Disney. We'll be at our home resort..BCV. Our plan is to stick close to the resort on Christmas Eve, Day and New Year's Eve because I figured we can always just walk over to Epcot if we want to deal with the crowds on those days.
Is it a big advantage having the back end access to Epcot during those days? I'm thinking at least we won't have to deal with full parking lots and buses since we can walk over. Does Epcot close the park to those entering from BCV and BWV as well when it reaches capacity?
If so, that would work against us if we wanted to head over to the park later in the evenings.
