The rides in Disneyland Paris? My DH and I just took our first Paris trip and were so impressed with certain rides. I keep reading that SM is different than the one in WDW and that was one of the things we loved about DLP. Has anybody been to both of the DLs that can compare the Indy, PotC, SM and IASW? We just found out that we have a business trip in Anaheim coming up so I started surfing these boards and have read several posts that these rides are better in DL. My heart still belongs to WDW but I will take Disney in any dose that I can get it. We both agreed that we preferred the above mentioned rides in Paris over the Orlando version. Walt Disney was a god!!

Well, the Indiana Jones ride in DL is MUCH MUCH different than the one in DLP. In DL it is not a roller coaster...think 'Dinosaur' from AK, only cooler.

IASW at DL is the best one. It just is.
POTC is better in DL, but the DLP one is a close second. I am not sure when you're going to Anaheim, but POTC is being re-furbed right now.

Space Mountain...that is a hard one. I've only been on the newly redone DL one once and it is smoother than DLP and doesn't do any inversions. It is a great ride at both parks.

Hope that helps a little. :teeth:

I am going to move this to the DLP board and see if we can get you any more opinions!

Hi,

Indy is a coaster at DLRP. At POTC the story goes the other way than at WDW and there are two drops at the ride. SM is complete different and I have to saw that I dont like the WDW version as I always feel that I will be kicked of. SM at DLRP is a great coaster with srewdriver inversions and looping.
The RNRC has the same layout but a different theming.
BTM is also different as at DLRP it is riding on an island.

Personally, I prefer Thunder Mountain and Pirates at DLP and Small World at Disneyland. I really like Space Mountain at both but for different reasons. If you don't like going upside down though, you won't want to be going on the Paris one - otherwise it's great!

And there is no better ride than the Indy one at Disneyland. The one at DLP is... well... they shouldn't have called it Indiana Jones.
