Is Illumnations held every night in Epcot?

In looking at Disney's Web site it appears that Illumations is every night? I don't seem to remember it being every night. Also, we are going to be in The World 1/19 thru 1/24. Where is the best spot and best time to get that spot? DH would like to "eat dinner and walk right outside to watch the fireworks". I assume it is not that easy. Thanks in advance

Hi!

Illuminations is held every night. If it's not crowded you shouldn't have a hard time finding a good place to see it. We like to stay by the bridge near France because it's just an easy walk then to the BWV afterward. The last time we were there, we were in that general area, but we went down steps and there was an area that sometimes I've seen private parties viewing Illuminations from, but it was opened, and the view was good. I have also had a very good view from a spot by Canada.

I think you can get Dinner ressies at Rose and Crown outside seating and you can see Illuminations from your table, but that may not "work" in January.

Yes, normally it is every night at Epcot. We like to be on the bridge between France and England--- it's a great view. People seem to start congregating about 45 minutes prior to the show so the can stand leaning on the railing. Honestly though there are many god views all around WS.

We were there in December and the crowds were light. We had no problem finding a good spot about 20 minutes before it began. Illuminations runs every night.

keep it simple...stand up wind and not under a tree...you will have a great view...

I believe Illuminations wasn't programmed for Dec. 31, the day I left.

Also, that week, there was no "fire" after the 'big bang'. Maintenance, I suppose...
