Is HS a full day park?

Thanks for all the input! Glad to hear there will be enough to keep us busy. We have a whole day set aside for HS but I was worried because we would skip all the shows except for Indiana Jones. Looking forward to the trip and Osborne Light show. I hope it will start during our dates!

I think it is, although I used to get several passes for Tower of Terror and several others throughout the day and ride them multiple times; now with fastpass plus and aversion to standby lines I'm not so sure.

Same here, except it was Rockin' Roller Coast for us. The first time we were in the park, we road RNRC 7 times. Not sure what will keep us in the park now that they are so stingy with fastpasses.

For us it is, but we skip NUMEROUS attractions there. I could see how others would run out of time long before they run out of stuff to do.

For us it is more of a 3/4 day park. :) There is enough for us to see and do but not enough to need to go back another day for. For some reason, DHS is the hottest park in our opinion, maybe that has something to do with it.

It's the same way for our family. We always leave a couple hours early after seeing most of the shows and going on most of the rides at least once. It's worth taking a full day to go and stay for fantasmic though. We usually go to the earlier show (if there's more than one) and then go back to sleep early. And we found it to be very hot there too. Maybe a lack of shade? Not many shaded areas to sit and relax that aren't food places.

I don't like the idea of any park being a "full day" or a "half day" or whatever. The only time I've ever actually spent an ENTIRE day in a park is during a day trip to MK. I don't know, I need breaks. I can't spend all day in the Florida sun and the heat and humidity without feeling sick.

I'm a big baby and need at least two days for every park because I just can't stand being in the parks for too long. I need hotel time in between lol

That being said, HS isn't my favorite park and I really only do a few things and go to certain places, but if it's your first time going then you'd definitely want to spend as much time as you can. I find myself seeing things everytime Im there that I never noticed and appreciated before. Kids will love it!

For me it's a 1/2 day park but I HIGHLY doubt it will be the same for you and your family.

With it being your first time and your kids being the age they are I would recommend a full day there - especially since your going during November hours.

Between the rides / shows / characters / and exhibits I don't doubt you'll be there all day.

My family of 4 (myself, DH, DS 3, DS 10) will be at Disney Nov 14-19. We have never went to HS before and wondering if it is a full day park or half day. Don't plan on doing any of the Disney Jr. shows or Beauty and the Beast show. We have seen Lights Motor Action at Disneyland so there might be a chance we skip it. Experience or thoughts would be appreciated!
IF you have not been to DHS before I would give it a day. You can then decide on later trips whether to make it a half day (some people do) or 2 day (some people do) in the future. Your sons are likely to have a very different experience. There is a big gap between a 3 yo and 10 yo.

If you want to skip all of the shows, I think it is less than a full day park. There are really not that many rides. I do love the shops though, I think they have some pretty unique ones, as far as WDW goes.

I agree with the previous poster about the lack of good food at DS. There are not a ton of choices. But you can always hop over to Epcot, and then hop back.:)
