Is Hoop Dee Doo worth it?

A resounding YES here!

I've been trying to get DW to do it for years, and a couple of days ago we finally did. Good food, great fun. Corny, yes, but very entertaining. We recommend it.

We love it. But I don't use DDP credits to pay for it, I pay OOP for the CAT 1 seating. It's pricey, but for us it's worth it. You aren't paying for a "signature" quality meal, you're paying for a dinner SHOW. But the food is still decent, and it's all you can eat (including draft beer and sangria).

We had a group of 10 (including 4 kids) this last trip and our table was right in the middle of the main floor. It's the one meal that the kids still talk about.

You have me thinking about. Is there any ages where the kids don't enjoy it?

Or which ages might be more advantages? I was wondering if I should try the trip in 2013 or 2017?

It's a fun, kitchy entertaining dinner and a show, in typical Disney style! It's not something we would do repeatedly, like simply going to a restaurant for dinner. Worth is subjective, try it, you can say you did it once, it's not a lifetime commitment, it's just dinner and a show.

We'll do it again when we bring people with us to Disney who haven't done it!
