Is Hollywood Studios worth it without park hoppers?

My family always spends 2 days there, its my favorite park. There is a lot to do, if they have never seen it have your family watch the original Indianna Jones and then watch the show. And with Toy Story Land being open it should relieve a bit of the stress on the rest of the park. At 17 my daughter still insists on watch The Little Mermaid once a trip and with the increased M&G's throughout the park you should be able to spend a day. And at night Phantasmic is a must.

My opinion is no. We don't buy hoppers, just to save money. If my daughter really didn't want to go to DHS on our next trip, we would skip it.

Maybe things will change when the new lands will open.....

I can't imagine skipping any of the parks, especially with 5 day tickets, it gives you time to slow down. I don't see the whole half day park so skip it thing, even if I did think it was a half day park, I wouldn't skip it. I'd use the day as a slow day.

We're doing it this way on this trip. My thinking is that we could use a park day that isn't quite as long...so like a half day park day. It will cut down on fatigue for us.

Thanks everyone. I know we need to decide, but I welcome hearing other opinions When we went the first time my twins were too little for any thrill rides and even though my older daughter was tall enough for some she wasn't into them yet so we really had a little kid trip. Hollywood studios was Disney Junior stuff, shows, and the Toy Story Mania ride as far as I remember. Now all of them love thrill rides and the little ones will be 48 inches so should be tall enough for everything there. The oldest would probably be fine just watching the Jedi Training. She is good about letting the little ones do little kid stuff while she waits.
On our first trip it poured all day on our AK day. So we went on the Safari in the rain, saw Lion King, and missed everything else. We gave up and left and the rain just never stopped. So, I'm hoping they will really get to see the whole thing this time.
I like the idea of planning HS for later in the week and then if the kids really are loving AK or Epcot we could switch and do a 2nd day there. Or we go to HS early for the big rides and JEdi training and then go relax at the pool and head back for dinner/shows.

I think it's worth it. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of DHS, especially at night. Fantasmic is a must see and my daughters really enjoyed the Beauty and the Beast show.

We always get park hopper passes. The last time we were at DW, we spent 3 out of 5 nights at DHS. We're going again in February...am going to miss the Great Movie Ride.

If you were a "we go all the time" type, I'd say skip, but for a family that hasn't been there but once, I would say there is plenty to do. Especially with TSL opening up. At the current rate, I could see everything and do everything once and be done by about 2pm. If you had to choose between doing another park and this one, I'd again say skip, but since you're not giving up any other park, this one still has a good time going for it.

I mean, Star Tours, mirite?
