I have already made ressies for the Luau and I have convinced my friends that going to HDDR is cool too. My friend Vicki doesn't like BBQ and I know the ribs are BBQ but if the chicken is fried she is all for going. Can anyone recall if the chicken was fried?

I'm pretty sure it was fried - it's been a couple of years since I've gone but it's probably still the same...

From www.wdwig.com:

Your meal, brought to your table includes: fried chicken, pork ribs, corn on the cob and strawberry shortcake! Unlimited beer, sangria and soft drinks are also included in the price.

It's a great time - you'll have a blast for sure!!

Hi - fried chicken is not my favourite way to have chicken - but Hoop Dee Doo's fried chicken was surprisingly good - actually the whole meal was good - not a complaint here.

Enjoy

As said above, definitely fried.
Im not a big fan of fried chicken, I will eat it if its there, but I wont ever suggest we have it. This fried chicken was unbelievably good both times we have gone. I had thought I would end up eating mostly ribs and yet I found myself asking for another bucket of chicken. ;)
Very very good!

can anyone give me the prices of hddr? we will be planning this for dinner one night during our first wdw vacation. any comments or suggestions would also help. my friend has told me this is a wonderful dinner show for the whole family. how loud is it? my dd10months will be w/us.:D

$49.01 for adults and $24.81 for children 3-11; tax and gratuity included. I don't think it will be too loud for the baby. I have been three times before and will be taking my 2 year old in November.

We loved the food and the show. Also, I called ahead and they brought out pasta and a piece of pizza for my DS who is very picky. I had to ask when we were seated though to remind them. I called a couple days ahead.

Once more - The fried chicken is great.
Also, they brought my picky children mac and cheese from the restaurant next door. And then don't you know those picky eaters ate that chicken!
About the show....some of the jokes went over the heads of my 4 & 5 year olds. But the performers are so silly that the kids just kept on laughing!
Great all round fun.

For anyone who has gone recently - are they still serving that mixed corn stuff. I remember when they had corn on the cob but when we went in Aug 2001 it was mexicorn or something similar. I'd love to see corn on the cob again or just regular corn. If anyone has been in the last month or so who could tell me that would be great.
