Is Hamilton's Reserve a Good Place To Stay?

I've found a nice villa at Hamilton's Reserve. Is it a good place to stay? Are there plenty of places to eat nearby? We usually get to the parks before opening and go for a break in the afternoon. And we'll be spending a lot of time at MK, Epcot and Universal Studios.

It looks like it is on the east end of 192 and close to a Publix and Wal Mart. Here is a map of other businesses on 192 right near this area. At the bottom of this map, you will see a place to click for the villas on Poinciana Blvd and that is where Hamilton's Reserve is.

Hopefully someone else will respond and give you an idea of the best way to get to the parks. The only way I know is traveling 192. There may be an easier and quicker way though.

Hi Amy - Thanks. It doesn't seem too far does it? But like you, I'm wondering if there's some traffic avoiding shortcut.

We stayed on that end of 192 when we stayed at Fantasy World Villas. Fantasy World Villas is a little closer than Hamilton's Reserve. We made sure we were at the park at opening, so we didn't notice too much traffic at that time of day. It was summer and really hot, so we went back to the villa mid day and headed back at night. I never remember thinking that the traffic was horrible. My family tends to stay a little further out because it fits our budget better, so a 15-20 minute drive is no big deal to us. This is not the closest area to stay at, but it is not horrible either. I think there was a thread a while back about staying in the Poinciana area and the best way to get to the parks. I will see if I can find it and let you know. If I can't find it, maybe you could start a new thread titled Poinciana area directions. I think if you found a house with the amenities you want, at the right price, and with an owner you feel comfortable with, you should go for it.

The original poster was frustrated with the drive time from Terra Verde resort which is down the road from Hamilton's Reserve. Other posters in this thread offer alternative routes from this area.
