Is Ginger Ale Available Anywhere?

Nor does it help your tummy.

BTW, if you want to really "make" ginger ale, make a simple syrup with a lot of fresh ginger in it (boil sugar and water) add a few tablespoons of the syrup to soda water or mineral water.

Fun fact: Most popular brands of ginger ale do not actually contain any real ginger.

And contain WAY too much HFCS for my own taste. The boutique brands like Reeds have lots of ginger and real sugar - but get to be expensive. Therefore, I buy ginger and make my own.

i was able to enjoy (my favorite soft drink) ginger ale at *all* of our TS meals in sept/oct... we ate at Rose/Crown, Garden Grill, Les Chefs, Teppan Edo, the Plaza, CRT, Mama Melrose, Yak & Yeti, Captain's Grill, Crystal Palace, Cali Grill, Spirit of Aloha and HDDR (maybe more?) plus BC room service... so i would say that it's readily available! :)

But I did want to warn you that some waiters/waitresses will offer to make one.....:scared1: don't let them. In most cases they just mix Sprite or 7up with Coke. It doesn't taste anything like Gingerale and is quite honestly, disgusting.:scared:

Interesting - I was going to add, before I came to your note, that I often have restaurants "make" me Ginger Ale this way if they don't have it. It tastes quite close to GA to me.

Of course, the original search was not for the taste, but for the stomach soothing. I suspect the artificial version wouldn't do the trick.

But as I said, the popular brands that WDW would be likely to serve don't actually contain real ginger either. So, if you're looking for something to soothe the stomach, I'm not sure that the ginger ale they would serve you would help.

If ordering soda, I only order ginger ale. I've never had a problem getting it at any WDW restaurant.

It's not the carbonation that helps you feel better, its the ginger.

In our little Coach travel pack, we keep Advil, ginger pills and a few other similar goodies. I'd recommend just buying ginger pills, easy to take and you'll always be able to have some on you.

Last year my husband and I stayed at the AKL and he was able to find a bottle of ginger ale for me at the gift shop. Such a relief since I was feeling really sick. I'm not sure if they still carry it there in the gift shop now, but it was definitely there last year. Good luck to you.
