Is Genie+ worth it?

For just the two of us and our laid back sleep in touring style, no; we do not feel that Genie+ is worth the cost. We did not even purchase it on our last 3 day trip in Jan and were still able to do our favorites until we were tired. We did however use ILLs twice and thought they were a fair price to save us several hrs of wait time on FoP (our must do) and 7DMT. We cut out 2 TS ADRs not so much to save money, but because we were still so full from other eats, and we were tired. So in the end, we 'saved' money. YMMV.

the only park i found it worth it was MK when i went the beginning of december. we bought them for HS as well but most things were already full by 9am though i was able to finally get on slinky but even at 7am the first time i saw available was for 7:30pm. for me epcot and AK are not worth it, but i do think the ILLs are worth the extra money, bought them for rise, 7 dwarfs, FoP, and Remy. I'm going again end of April and more than likely i will not be getting it again but we'll see.

it really depends on how you do the parks though. if you like spreading out rides throughout the day then i don't think its worth it as the later on in the day, the more likely nothing is available then. but if you like getting rides done quickly, then i think it can be worth it.

Only you can answer that, and that's only if you learn the details and give it a try. We've used it twice, and we really do like it. Not perfect, but neither was FP+ or FP. We felt we got better use out of it at MK and EP, and also better use the one day when we park hopped and scheduled LL in the next park. We took the option to purchase it only on the days we wanted to use it. If you have a multi-day resort stay and a multi-day ticket, you can actually pre-purchase for every day of your pass - we didn't feel it was worth it.

Keep in mind, there are 2 changes to consider. Genie+ is completely separate from the Individual LL purchase you can make for the elite rides like ROTR and FOP. Those rides are not included in Genie+, nor do you need to purchase Genie+ to purchase ILL.

We were just there last week and with the crowds, it was totally worth it for us. Its certainly a personal preference, and we tried not to, but there were days that we wouldn't have done much without it. The days we did have it, it worked very well for us.

When it was just the two of us on our last trip, I figured that even if it saved us an hour or two in line, that the cost was worth it. It helped to know that we had our "must do" rides booked, and allowed for us to have later starts to our days, as I tried to stack the Genie+ bookings for later in the afternoon. Plus when I had an open window to book, I could see what was near us and available instantly, and we could just walk on. Avoiding even those 15/20 minute standby queue times really does add up in terms of what you can do in a day.

Major bummer that you can only use it once per ride per day. Loved being able to repeat rides with the old FP.
