Is FP+ making it seem less crowded?

I know that Disney has said that crowds are off by as much as 4% from the same time as last year, but that 4% drop doesn't seem like something the average park attendee would notice. I'm wondering if getting used to using FP+, especially now that you can get additional passes after using the initial 3, makes it seem as though the crowds are down more than they really are? There's no question you spend less time waiting in lines now, which I believe leads to the perception of lower crowd levels. Thoughts?

I don't think FP+ would make it feel like the crowd is smaller. The crowd is still there. FP+ won't make ppl disappear. FP only makes you wait less in line.

Nope, nothing to do with FP+. The parks have fewer people in them than past summers.

I am sure those numbers are not literal for WDW but across the board. Attendance is down at WDW.
- Friends inside say it is noticeably slow and many in some positions finding themselves doing nothing.
- Many comments from those on social media that are AP holders/regulars saying that the FL heat this year has kept them home.
- SA guests are big segment in summer, coming mostly from two countries whose economies are crashing. Their numbers are down.
- Other countries are finding their cost in going to WDW has gone up with exchange rates.

1. I'm wondering if getting used to using FP+, especially now that you can get additional passes after using the initial 3...

2. There's no question you spend less time waiting in lines now...

1. You could always get additional FP+ after the initial 3.

2. I think that's debatable. I've been many times with shorter line waits.
That depends on... just about everything.

And... FP+ has caused LONGER waits at attractions that before FP+ had much shorter lines.
Cases-in-point: Journey Into Imagination & Pirates of the Caribbean.
