Is Fantasmic a "must see?"

Scanmom I'm with you. We saw it once and then the next trip we skipped it and rode rides with the shorter lines while it was on. I think the long wait to see it may have something to do with my families vote, I don't think it is worth the time you have to dedicate to it. Now the fireworks at MK we have to see every trip!

I know I'm in the minority here, but we don't care for it. We saw it once and haven't been back since. We'd rather see Wishes or Illuminations.

If you have never seen it, it is a must. Its a fantastic show. The only draw back is how you queue to get it. Too much time is wasted waiting in the long line to enter the arena. Its huge but packed. Never have done the dining, seating for Fantastmic but would consider it just for the ease of getting in and a seat. Better to be sitting down eating and then getting into the theatre by a CM than waiting in a huge line for hours.

YES! we never miss it. but just a word of warning, it is a pretty good walk, uphill, so keep that in mind. my mom had a hard time walking up without resting(she's in her early 70's). last year she rented a ecv and life was good. lol!

It's a must see. Be careful about saving it for the last night, it can get rained out.

GOOD advice! :thumbsup2 I always front-load my trip: All the nighttime shows, Spectromagic, Illuminations, and Fantasmic, are done in the first few days. That way, if something happens, there's time to see them later in the trip.

I'd also say Must see. We did this last year and loved it. we also did the dinner package, I believe you have to go to a certain showing though and I want to say its the first showing, so if Fantasmic is showing twice i believe if you get the package you would have to go to the first one..I may be wrong. You should check out the thread on the restaurant boards that deal with Fantasmic. It is a sticky at the top.

I was planning on doing it on the last night b/c it's only showing at 9pm the days we are there (I guess due to the fact it doesn't get dark until then in June). I want to be able to get up and enjoy the parks the other days and I don't really mind if he is grumpy on the way home  . I think I'll book the dinner with it on the last night. If it happens to rain, at least we'll still get a nice dinner (Brown Derby) and be able to go around the park one last time!
Thank you all so much! I don't know what I would've done had I not found you guys!

Fantasmic is DEFINITELY a must see! Sit high and avoid the mist, unless its been a REALLY hot day!! We love this show, started and ended our 1999 trip with it!
D.D.

It's in an arena?!! I thought you could see it from anywhere in the park. Is the same true for Wishes and Illuminations?

Fantasmic is a stadium show. You can only see the show from inside the stadium. You can catch a few of the higher fireworks from the parking lot, but that's about it.

Another nay vote here. It's on my "wish I'd never seen" list.
You couldn't pay me enough to sit through it again.....

.

we loved it. It was amazing!!

I think it's great, but my husband doesn't agree. Last trip we skipped it, but next trip (oct) it's a must see for me, even if I have to go myself.
