I have been to Disney World 8 times and Disneyland 2 times and have ever seen Fantasmic due to family dynamics. I am going again in November for the half-marathon. I will have a half day to myself on Friday and was wondering if I should spend it on Fantasmic? Or what would the rest of you do? I have done most of the other major attractions and shows.

Robo- always right. It's chock full of nostalgia and pretty much every character you can imagine.

Having said that if I had a 1/2 day to myself I would probably go to Frontierland and get stuck behind the crowds for the nighttime parade and hit Splash and Thunder multiple times, and then hit Haunted before grabbing the last boat of the night on Jungle. I would want to share Fantasmic with my kids.

For your short visit, there are other memorable WDW treasures to enjoy rather than Fantasmic.

Nightime at EPCOT and MK are magical.

Tough choice, I love Fantasmic, but if I only had 1 night I'd have to make sure I saw Celebrate The Magic along with a trip to The Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain. Doesn't matter what you decide, you can't go wrong because you're at WDW!

I love Fantasmic. It's one of my favourite shows. I wouldn't say it's a must do, but it's pretty close.

I would... I don't see it every visit, but in 12 total , I think we've seen it 5 or 6 times now....Definitely a fun show.

I love Fantasmic, so for me it's a must do. If you go, don't leave till the very end. I see people leave when the show starts winding down without realizing that the finale with Micky on top of the mountain is the best part.

Yes, & yes!! One of the best shows at Disney!

And, another note.

If you frequent Disneyland, F! there is an even better show.
If you choose to do something else on your night at WDW, you NEED to see F! at Disneyland the next time you are there.

And, arriving early-early for THAT version is imperative.

Fantasmic is my fave nighttime show at WDW and is a must-do on every trip. I vote YES!

There's no such thing as a single must-do. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time regardless of whether or not you go to see it, and there are plenty of other options for that time that are equally as enjoyable if not more so for some people.

Having said that, if I were in your situation I'd be looking at doing something I haven't done before and something that would be difficult to do with family or just difficult due to timing. For me, that might mean CtM because I've never seen it, while I have seen F! (and the Star Works dessert party is already on my list). Or it might mean La Nouba, even though I've seen it once. For you, it sounds like F! fits the bill perfectly. Is there anything else that you think you might prefer?

Its tough to say. If you have never seen the CTM show and Wishes, then I would do that. If you have been to most evening entertainment, I would choose to see Fantasmic. Is it a must do? I do not think there is anything that is a must do for everyone, so I would say no. It is not. Would it be a must do for me under the circumstances? Yes.

We went years without going to this show, it was not a show my DGD would like. We went when she was 10 and for the rest of my family, it was once and done. Me? i go once in a while I like it.

If you have never seen it, i'd give it a shot. At least that way you'd have no regrets if disney does decide to get rid of it before your next trip (hey, with the way things are going at disney, you never know!). Personally i didnt care for the show. But im glad I saw it once at least.

I just asked DD19 if she wanted to see Fantasmic! in our upcoming August trip. Her answer was a definitive YES. It has become a must-do thing for us. We also love the one in DLR. I wouldn't mind getting the dining package to see it every time. We did the DLR Fantasmic dessert package as well. I think you should at least see it once.

I think it's a must-do. I love the show and have seen it countless times, but I make sure I see it every time we visit the World.

It's up there with Illuminations, Wishes and the MSEP.

It's up there with Illuminations, Wishes and the MSEP.

If you want to see MSEP at MK again, you need to visit before Oct. 10.
Oct. 9, 2016 is its lat night at WDW.
