Is Ellen's Energy Adventure worth 45 mins?

It's actually not that bad, but it is dated. It may hinge on how much you like Ellen in general. I'd like to see it get a revamp, but it's certainly worth seeing at least once.

The animatronic dinosaurs are better than the Jurassic Park ride at Universal. It is a fun ride and one we don't miss. Yes the movie is a bit dated, and it isn't exactly fast, but a nice leisurely movie and ride combination is great on a warm afternoon. The first time you ride and your movie seats drive away after the movie is pretty cool.

Too bad Ellen's Energy Adventure doesn't have Jurassic Park's ending. THAT would wake everybody up!

I can't believe most of the replies here.
I love this attraction.

Ellen is hilarious in the pre-show (don't miss it). Her performance on this single attraction alone makes me like Ellen.
The ride vehicles themselves are amazing.
The background music is one of my favorites.
The animatronic dinosaurs are great
The whole Jeopardy/post-show is well done
Dated? As best as I know, Ellen, Bill Nye and Jeopardy with Alex Trebek are all still hot items.
The science is a realistic description of energy options. Not too tree-huggy and most certainly not too big oil.
Of course it is simplified. The goal is to entertain first, educate second. This is Disney, not a museum.

The 45 minutes will pass quickly.

We've never taken the time to see this show. Is it worth it? 45 mins seems like a long time commitment. Will it keep the kids engaged?
My kids have always loved it. Mom and Dad like it because we get to sit and relax for a long time and rest our aching feet. And we love Ellen, dinosaurs and airconditioning. So yes, for us, worth it.

I wouldn't do it if I had one day to see Epcot. I go to Disney often though - so now and then I see it.
I think it's too loud for a nap, but it's a nice break from the heat and bustle and I like both Ellen and Bill Nye.

I also enjoy Ellen, dinosaurs and airconditioning! :)

Every trip I think we will finally make it on this ride...but every trip we run out of time. It's not been high on my priority list and the descriptions I have read does not sound appealing.
