is dyson worth it?

We use to have a wind tunnel..i think that is what it was called..and we borrowed a friend's dyson to see the difference. i used my wind tunnel and went over it with the dyson. I could not Believe how much hair and dirt was still in my carpet that the wind tunnel didn't pick up!! I have the regular yellow dyson and it has been awesome. I find that it picks up fine on bare floors too. I am very happy with it.

Mine has been in the shop twice. Once was somehow something sliced the cord..it was our fault..we took it to Sears who sent it out and I got the cord replaced and they did some maintenance work on it..all covered under the warranty.

However, yesterday my dyson just died. It won't turn on We have had it for three /four years. So I just dropped it off today to get it fixed. It will take at least two weeks But thank goodness it is still under warranty

I bought a Dyson earlier this year and I LOVE it..I am truly amazed at the dirt that it pulls out of my carpet EVERYTIME..we have very old carpet that probably needs replaced, but I feel better to let my DD play after I have vaccuumed..

I ended up using a coupon out of the Entertainment book for Meijer's for 30% a housewares item and got 90.00 off..

My sister and her husband also love my DYSON, they have borrowed it and the first time they used it you would have sworn that they had had the carpets cleaned..

I would tell anyone to get one in a heartbeat.

I bought the lightweight Dyson last week, the DC 24 with the ball. So far I am liking it a lot. I got a great price on it for $319 at Vacuum Direct and it also came with $59 of free tools, which are so small they seem like a joke. Haven't used them yet though, so maybe I'm wrong... I checked their website the day my vacuum arrived and all their Dysons had gone up in price $80-$100 since I ordered mine last week. I suppose getting ready for the Christmas buying season? I hope the Dyson lives up to my expectations. I am still on the fence about it since I just had my carpets cleaned last week and it's still so new. I sure like the weight of it though.

I hate mine. It does not have good suction. You can feel when the suction finally kicks in. We have sent it back and gotten another but I still don't feel like it does what is says. I would not spend the money again.

I have the exact same issue...the suction is horrible half the time. Then all of a sudden it kicks in. When it kicks in it's great, but useless the rest of the time. And it is extremely heavy to lug up and down the stairs (we have a finished basement so there are 2 flights of stairs involved when I vacuum). I won't buy another Dyson after this one dies. I had a Hoover before this and thought it was a much better vacuum, and it only cost half the price!!

I know we had bad suction on the two ones that we had.

Although I LOVE Dyson hand dryers! We have them at our local shopping centre, and I use the bathroom there just to use the hand dryers!

I've had mine for a few years now and I still love it. It's an older model so it's heavier than I would like, but I'm used to it now. I'm always amazed at the amount of nasty stuff that's in the canister when I'm thru using it. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

I have owned a Rainbow for 23 years (on my 2nd one now) and you would not believe how much the Dyson is leaving behind, if you use a Rainbow after the Dyson. I actually couldn't believe how much the old Rainbow left behind that the new one with stronger motor pulled out.

I have the dyson animal ball. 3 cats and 2 dogs and we just love it. The ball is the best.

Love my old Dyson- still working after five years, but we have Central Vac (which I love!) in this house now so I don't use the dyson as much. I'd buy another one in a second, though.
