is dyson worth it?

My ex boyfriend had a Dyson, and I actually really miss that vacuum. It is really a great product. It works amazingly well, and he even dropped it down the stairs and it still worked perfectly. If you have that kind of money to spend on a vacuum, I would recommend it.

I felt sick when I spent the money for my Animal...but I can't live without it now.

I think so!!!! I love my Animal!! :) Especially with 2 kids, 2 cats and 2 dogs....LOL

Love it - worth every penny for me. I have the Dyson Animal as well - and I have 3 kid, 3 dogs, and 2 cats... it always does the job. If it were to ever break, I would get a new one.

My sister hates hers and feels it was a waste of money - I am not sure why. I haven't asked her...

As everyone else has said it is more than worth it!!!!:lovestruc I never thought I'd say I LOVE a vaccumn cleaner lol:lmao:

I've had the Animal for 7 years. Never had a problem with it and it works as good now as day one. So worth the money. I averaged a new vaccuum every 2 years so I love my dyson.

Yes! We got a refurbished/reconditioned Dyson (the purple one) on Amazon 5-6 years ago at a much better price than in the stores and it is still going strong!! LOVE the fact that it needs no bags -- and wait until you SEE what it's sucking up! Vacuuming has never been so satisfying! :goodvibes

I, too, never thought I would have so much love for a vacuum! We got ours refurbished on woot.com though for $150.

I have the Dyson Animal and I like it (don't love it)for my carpeted areas. Now I keep my Dyson upstairs and use my other vacumns downstairs.

I much prefer my Kenmore canister which sucks up everything for my tile floors, drapes, and ceiling fans.

I like my Dyson Animal, too. We have 2 German shepherds, and the Dyson really picks up the dog hair. However, it's heavy to pick up if you have to move it. We don't have the one with the ball, so it's hard to maneuver around furniture.

I bought it at Bed, Bath & Beyond with a 20% off coupon about 5 years ago.

love my dyson! i vacuum just to use it!!

I loved it for the first couple of years - we have had it for 4 I think as long as we have had dogs - Australian Sheppard - no need to say more. We have the Purpe Animal - purchased at Target. It has been to the repair shop twice - spent over $100 to have it fixed the first time - 2nd time he couldn't find anything wrong with it. It has lost is suction. yes it is also heavy and hard to do stairs but we can't anymore because it has lost its suction. I have to keep emptying it in order to use it. It is a royal pain in the behind. I have many people I work with that state they have heard and even the person who fixed it, states that they are known to loose suction - they don't go on and on like the commercials state. I wouldn't spend the money on them. I am ready to throw it out the window. Too much work to vacuum with it now. We have our old vacuum that is better than this and it was 1/4 of the price.

Have the Animal Three kids Two dogs and Two cats........if I had to pick the first one to get voted off the Island......well....the Animal wouldn't be first:)

OT here, but that would be a great tag!! :)

My dyson was worth every penny. My dog sheds so much that I could make little puppies with the extra fur:lmao: It might be a little pricey but so worth it!

just wondered because I know someone that had a DC07 and the brush belt broke. They were not able to replace at home because it required a special tool??? They had to take it in for service... this would annoy me just for a broken belt

we have two dysons (just couldn't bear the thought of going a day without a dyson, so bought the 2nd, just in case....:rolleyes1).
one is over 6 years old, the other about four. we have a golden retriever & 3 cats (2 are long-hair).

absolutely nothing compares to a dyson!! we have never had a single problem with either; easy-breezy to unclog when it rarely happens, easy to empty, & both have suction just as strong as the day we bought them :thumbsup2
after years of wasted money on kenmore, panasonic, hoover, eureka, etc, we will never use any other brand (& we prob won't have to even consider them, as our dysons are still better at years old than the others were at brand new!!)
